**Update**
Apparently these are back in stock, the above link still works. Some people were getting E-mails saying that there was a problem and they need to contact the call center. I called, and appparently there was an internal pricing error that has been automatically corrected, and you will be charged the correct low price of $0.99 plus about $2.50 shipping. It sounds like they have a bunch of these folks, buy as many as your heart desires and sell them to your friends. If someone hasn't gotten in on this deal yet, they can't complain about missing it 🙂

**Update 2**
They're all gone. Don't whine about people who bought lots... the deal stayed open for over a week. That's a hell of a lot better than most closeout deals.

It has a normal lighter inside. I own one of these that i paid 15 bucks for once when i needed a lighter. Thought it looked really cool but once i started to use it I realised that it will only work for like 20 lights. I don't own the radio shack brand but mine is IDENTICAL to the one pictured.

nice deal..I just ordered 50 of them and got this email

Thank you for shopping at RadioShack.com.

Unfortunately, we have encountered a problem while processing your order. If a customer service representative has not yet contacted you, please call our telephone order center at 1(800) 464-5365 so that we can correct the order as soon as possible and avoid any shipping delays.

maybe they are out of stock already..or..you cant order that many..anyone else have success..or failure

Cool deal, thanks.

mikedw: I don't think you ordered 50. Perhaps you said that cuz you want attention or flaming, but even if you did order 50, why do you want that many? These things are refillable, so...

LOL.yea..i lie about what I order just for the attention of course.

I sell things at flea markets on the weekend...these are cheaper from Radio Shack then I can buy them from where I usually get them, which is the reason to order that many.

Funny, I thought I asked for success or failure in ordering them, not your personal opinion about my ordering habits

Otaking -->your question was perfectly logical. Since mikedw lies about the quantity of what he buys who knows what else he lies about. Personally I just assumed he was a drug dealer and needed them for his customers.

mikedw --> Since I did not order one (let alone 50) for some reason radio shack has refused to send me any. Does that help you out at all mikedw? Does that met you strict rules of posting only to your specifications?

This could have come in handy when my car got booted last week. But I already placed an order for a Pen Torch from Harbor Freight. I'll teach those booters a lesson once USPS parcel post arrives. Yawn...

Funny, I don't remember mikedw setting the rules for what I can post and what I can't post. But just out of curiosity, why the hell would you spend $50 on butane lighters? I have a ton of other things I'd rather spend $50 on.. maybe food for a month??

Theres no post policy i cant believe how angry people get when they are told to think about others and save some for other.

Is it worth buying the extra fuel cells from radio shack??

they are $2.50 for 2.....are they cheaper elsewhere??

buying 50 of them? The dea will definitely come knock on your doors to see whose smoking all that crack.

ordered 2- got the email.

ok called radio shack..here is the scoop..

Their system cannot handle that price..its a VALID price with no quantity LIMIT.

Their system will be fixxed on Tuesday, and orders shipped then.

hope that helps..........

Marxists? Bob, I'm not sure how long you've been frequenting this forum, but I don't think I can even count the number of would-be really hot deals which were spoiled after someone decided to order some obscene quantity of whatever it was.

I'm glad to hear that mikedw at least has an excuse for buying 50 of them other than fleecing some sucka at fleaSpray, but if this was a pricing error, you know full well that while it may slip through, sudden mass orders are going to turn heads.

Well over a year and a few BBS' ago here Jzero. Nothing was meant at you, just the B&M deal and a general dig for the limit croud on these boards. To each his own and some people support themselves by deals. I don't, but what others do is their business. Don't stores buy in volume, not just one? <G>

Bob--I didn't take it as an insult towards me, and I hope no one else took it as an insult either. It truly is a personal choice how many you buy. I just try to encourage people to consider whether or not mass-ordering something will sour an otherwise good deal and to limit purchases accordingly.

Jzero:
Great! I've been screwed too, by other's volume buying, which I'm too lazy to do, but I respect their right. I bought 4 torches, instead of the 1 for $3.99 at the RS across the street.

Speaking of Flea Markets, I saw torches at a flea market this weekend, but they were only asking $1.00 and no tax. HOT DEAL! So if I do my math right, you're at $0.01 a piece profit! What are you going to do with your $0.50?
