I was going to make a comment about how this is news because we usually see right-wing religious zealots invloved in these scandals.
Then I saw he was a priest and it all made sense. This has nothing to do with "liberal" or "conservative". I suspect its a plot to call attention to the political BS and the kiddie stuff will eventually be swept under the rug.

I stand by my assessment. I do not think Ward is a perv. I think he was doing exactly what he said he was, investigating the world of child porn. I think what you know about Ward you could put in a thimble. I have been listening to him for years. In shout, you are a shallow know nothing who is happy to condemn without any knowledge and I have watched him work for the disadvantaged and poor for years and years. I have seen an investigative reporter and person of great humanity, filled with compassion and real Christian spirit. It will take a lot more than some emails to convince me he is guilty of anything but what he has said. It's going to be interesting to see what happens when this comes to trial.

Interesting how there is evidence in this case, but people don't want to believe it. In the KBR thread, though, the accuser has no evidence, and people absolutely believe her. Good thing justice is blind, huh?

I don't see any need to email pictures of child porn to a dominatrix in order to investigate the wold of child porn. I'd love to hear Ward's detailed explaination for this.

Here's what I know about Ward: He got caught distributing child porn. Here is one thing I can reasonably guess about Ward: If in fact he was really doing research :roll: then he should have informed someone in law enforcement about his activities prior to engaging in them to protect himself. Therefore if his story is true he's an idiot. Personally, I don't think he's an idiot, I think he just got caught. We'll find out what a jury thinks.

Exactly, how people present and conduct themselves in public has almost no bearing on who they are and what they do behind closed doors. There have been countless examples of this, especially in the last 20 years or so.

I don't have enough information to form on opinion on this guy either way, but I'm having a very hard time giving people the benefit of the doubt these days in spite of what they may espouse or represent in public life. I've just been burned too many times.

Just recently, Roger Clemens, on steroids? Say it ain't so.
