I haven't lifted for two months. I have reasons. A family member died after a long and arduous hospital battle, then I got sick, and then work got crazy. But I need to go back.

So shame me, ATH&F. I don't see any reason not to go tonight, but that doesn't mean I won't make one up before then.

If I kick you in the balls, you won't be able to lift.

Get back in the gym fatass.

I feel for you brudda. My Pop died the same day as Charlie Heston, he was 10yrs older than Charlie. It was slow too, sucked watching him go that way. I've been working out harder since then though. I suppose we all deal with grief differently.

Now, stop licking your nuts and get your ass in the gym! No more woe is me depressed shat, channel all that negative energy into your workout.

Next time you brush your teeth, do it naked and watch your fat body jiggle. That should be motivation enough.

Sorry to hear about your family member. My mom died of cancer last August (age 62) which was very hard on me and my family. That was actually around the time I started to work out as an outlet for my anger/sadness. Just think of how much better you felt physically and your energy levels when you were lifting, get back to it man. What helped me is setting a time in my mind that I will lift (MWF after work) no matter what, and if something comes up that I absolutely can't go at that time (travel, work function) I force my ass up early to go in the morning. Put the time in Outlook so it beeps and reminds you :)

Ah, man, I'm really sorry to hear that :\ Don't let life's wear and tear take away from your accomplishments and your drive to be stronger. You were getting and will continue to get stronger if you want it, bud. Go for it. You need it especially after the hard times.

Also, I think you and I have been out about the same amount of time. We both stopped updating our journals, lol. Get back into it, man. I've started doing light weightlifting in my physical therapy schedule. Start the lifting process again with me - what do ya say? I'll keep you accountable if you keep me accountable :)

Just do what you can with your situation. If your consistent for the most part for the rest of the year you get gains

I haven't been to the gym since my last comp on the 5th April! But I have been training for Gladiators and recording...:p

It hasn't actually been 2 months. My last workout was 3/25. I didn't lift on the 8th, but I did lift today. Updating my log in the next few minutes. SC, you've got a deal.

Sweet deal. I'll find my bulking thread and shift it to a normal workout journal. I should be lifting 3 days a week since my shoulder is pretty sensitive... so if you don't see three posts in a week, you have a right to slap me.

Done that, but it doesn't work. Nothing I have tried so far motivates me to eat right for long. I just work out and work out and get injured. :(
