depends on where you put the bottom and where you put the top and how you smooth the data to get your slope.


No smoothing or anything, just standard linear regression that excel uses. Nothing arbitrary about it.

My guess is those environmental studies are mostly tree-hugging tools to deny use of that natural resource. Either way the forests won't be dissapearing anytime soon.
