It is? You should be a commentator on the "Fox News Channel" Calll it the "Spin Zone" LOL:D

like i said elaborate this quote:
Actually being offended enough by their statements to call for/ follow a boycott is what I find ignorant.
and explain how the black's boycott, during the civil rights movement, was different.

Wow your dodging of the hard questions, you must be a politician.
You don't see any difference? I would think the difference was obvious. Of course to someone who Spins like you do maybe I shouldn't assume that you would.

People, of course, feel like the worst in the world, so naturally when Republican men whose dominant position in society is under threat, and really anybody else who gets their jollies vicariously from being an AMERICAN, immediately go on the attack when anybody, but expecially women who 'are supposed to be inferior' contradict and slime their phony source of respect.

You must be out of your mind Jelly head. Comparing the blacks boycotts during the civil rights movement to some stupid statement by the Duncie Chicks? That doesn't even deserve a response Jelly donut.

something as fivolous as bad music vs something as important as breaking jim crow... if you can't see a difference between the two you might want to step out of the thread.

Absolutely right. Bush is going to drag us into Syria for the WMD and when we don't find them, we will have to move to Iran, etc. Are we being welcome with open arms like a lot of people thought? No.

I feel sorry for the American public who is able to be spoonfed opinions by conservative talk radio.

Actually BOTH insulted their customers, just to a different degree. So the blacks have a right to boycott the whites, but white people cant boycott people that insult them. So the blacks were boycotting because they were offended enough to call for a boycott. And like i said if red can explain his statement:
Actually being offended enough by their statements to call for/ follow a boycott is what I find ignorant.
im all ears.

And don't get me started on those unpatriotic idiots who polluted boston harbor with tea.

They can. I never said that they shouldn't be able too, I just said that I thought that it was an ignorant knee jerk reaction to do so, especially when those who said it were FLUFF Brain Dead Musicians like the DC's.

No if I had said or implied that they should be prevented from Boycotting the DC's because of one off the cuff remark then your argument would be valid. However I never said or implied that and to insist that I did isBullocks

BTW, he spoke out in favor of the DC's the other day.

My quote was a mirror in which you could see yourself. It explained why certain pieces of information are offensive to certain types when it reflects them back to themselves. Naturally you did just as my qoute described. You felt threatened and attacked me as a master of spin. Naturally you were confused. I am a master of reflection. :D

After repeated requests by me to red dawn and his dodging of all the requests, I give up. I'll answer everyone of his posts/questions, but he refuses to answer rather simple, but hard, questions from me. Therefore, i refuse to reply to red dawn from now on, because he refuses to respond to me.

Boycott Red Dawn.

All in all I think this argument is silly,

If people want to boycott the Dixie Chicks then they have that right plain and simple...do I agree with it?? sure why not, they said something that their fans didn't like and now their fans are no longer compelled to buy their stuff.

For some reason this reminded me of when Oprah Winfrey spoke out about the Meat industry, I believe she said something to the effect of "Well, I wouldn't eat meat" on national TV, all of her "followers" followed their leader and the meat industry actually noticed a decline in sales, one that was so bad it warranted them taking her to court over it saying that since she was a public figure and had alot of fans what she said influenced a good deal of people....

Well now what the Dixie Chicks have said "influenced" alot of people....influenced them not to buy their records.

They cannot have it both ways, either people make a big deal out of everything they say and believe that their opinion really matters, or people smarten up and just ignore everything they have to say and just like them for what they are employed to do.

Why anyone would ask any professional entertainer what they thought about the world political situation is beyond me, and anyone that would put any weight behind what they thought on said matters is even more baffeling...
