Bush on Antidepressants? Two Interesting Pieces...

?Too many make the mistake of thinking Dick Cheney is the real power in the Bush administration,? says one senior Homeland Security aide. ?They?re wrong. It?s Ashcroft and that is reason enough for all of us to be very, very afraid.?

Interesting....

Tubb prescribed the anti-depressants after a clearly-upset Bush stormed off stage on July 8, refusing to answer reporters' questions about his relationship with indicted Enron executive Kenneth J. Lay.

?Keep those motherf*****s away from me,? he screamed at an aide backstage. ?If you can?t, I?ll find someone who can.?

Bush?s mental stability has become the topic of Washington whispers in recent months. Capitol Hill Blue first reported on June 4 about increasing concern among White House aides over the President?s wide mood swings and obscene outbursts.

Even MORE interesting....

If I had to put up with as much crap as the President does (be he Democrat or Republican), I'd probably want some drugs too.

Hell, P&N sometimes makes me want drugs.

WTF, is this site the Liberals version of Spewmax?

This site's been around for a bit. Check out the "About" page (or whatever it's called.) They say they're non-partisan but they have been rather critical of the President. Well, for good reason, though!

This would be a real big hit to the campaign if this were true and/or exposed completely before the elections...

Who cares. How many people do you know that are on drugs legal or illegal. Him being on anti-depressnats is not the reason he should be kicked out of office.

What's new about this?😉

Nearly every president is prescribed anti-depressent drugs while in office..............think about it, I'm sure if you were in that office you may require some also!😉

Probably one of the worst presidents as it concerns prescription drugs was JFK. Before he was killed, he was on 7 prescription drugs daily including narcotics.

Another problem years before that was alcohol. One of my personal favorite presidents was probably one of the worst abusers of alcohol................FDR..............witnesses testified he would drink on average a fifth of brandy daily..............more on weekends...............

Good points. I didn't mean to say there's something wrong with him BECAUSE he might takes meds.
I just think they haven't found the right combination yet. 😀

something to keep in mind

you cannot join the military if you are or ever have been perscribed anti-depresents, good thing we hold such high standards for our commander and chief.

Don't forget Bush skipped his medical exam for the gaurd in 1972... weeks after manditory drug testing was instituted in Alabama. He was rumored to be a coke user.

That's not true😉................I know for a fact more than one person whom was on Wellbutrin prior to joining. One went Marines, the other Air Force. They where on the drug to quit smoking before going in.........but...Wellbutrin, if you check it out, is definately an anti-depresent................

as someone in the military i know quite well the screening process.

if you have a friend in the military that used to be on anti-depresents, it's because he didn't tell the examiner or fill out the questioneere properly

(luckily spelling is not required in the military 😛 )

As retired USMC......I have a little bit of an idea how things work too....................believe me, the two were on Wellbutrin and they knew.........what THEY told or reported is another story I'd guess.......................

perhaps it's different from service to service, but at the MEPS center, some kids were sent home solely due to the fact that they had previously (and no longer were) on anti-depresents.
