He said we're going to investigate. Heck we already launched 6 investigations.
Nothing will ever be done with the results of the investigations but that is good enough that we investigated.
We will fully investigate 6 ways to Sunday ok so no more talk of this because the results of the investigations shall never be made public. Sweep sweep sweep, under the rug you go.

Under a capitalist prisoner interrogation scheme I would imagine promotions and pay would be determined by how much data you can squeeze...

I'm surprised that everyone hasn't been promoted or been awarded medals yet.

At a private Oval Office meeting, Bush complained about learning of the existence of photographs showing Iraqi prisoners being humiliated and degraded from media accounts, the official said.
im most surprised by this statement after Bush has said himself that he does not read the papers :p

In America, we have these little boxes that receive media signals and the ability to display photographs; you no longer have them on the rock?

I am heartened that the president has condemned the actions.

Now he just needs to show us how he takes responsibility for them too.

Regretfully, the attitude of this administration is the bucks stop there

Bush is to loyal to a fault regardless of the persons incompetence :disgust:
Lack of accountability.

With this being exposed the following will happen. Lower ranking soldiers will take the most punishment. The officers in command except the unit commander will get of with a ( you been a bad boy sheet of paper which will never find its way to their records). The real people responsible will never be charged.
Now let me say this. This pales in comparison to killing, dragging thru streets, burning and choping up bodies then hanging them from a bridge.

Now if Bush was serious about making up with the Arab world he would do the following.

1. Fire Rummy
2. Bush resigns from office.

I disagree, having to perform sexual acts, getting a flashlight or a broomstick shoved up my butt (basically rape) would affect me a lot more than anything anyone does to me when i am dead. I'm not even sure i wouldn't rather be killed than having to go through that.

Torture is worse than desecration (sp?).

Well Bush is saying Rumsfeld is staying as the Secretary of Defense.

CNN showed a clip of Bush's statement:

"He is a...<pause>...really good Secretary of Defense."

Yeah...real glowing praise there.

MEDIA: "President Bush, what do you have to say about the latest reports, videos and images of American Soldiers grossly mistreating, torturing and raping Iraqis?"
BUSH: "I'm really mad about it! I mean, seriously! This is....(searches for word)....bad. REALLY BAD!"
MEDIA: "And how do you feel about the fact that reports of this behavior have been going on for close to five months? Do you feel personally responsible? What about Donald Rumsfield, who acknowledged knowing about the violations since January?"
BUSH: "I'm not satisfied at all. No sir! Rumsfield let me down!"
MEDIA: "What will happen to Rumsfield in light of this negligence?"
BUSH: "I'm going to not let him play with my toys for a WHOLE week! But, since he's a good ol' boy like me, I'll let him stay in office!"
MEDIA: "One more question, how do you plan to deal with any Arabic discontent with the disgusting ways that the Iraqis have been treated?"
BUSH: "I'll meet with their leaders, make a half-assed excuse, and then declare their country as part of the Axis of Evil in an attempt to conjur up some old WWII nationalism!"
