Sorry to shatter your generalizations, but I'm not a leftie and I think this whole deal is laughable. No, what's amazing is your partisan streak that makes this into an issue of those who don't see anything noble or noteworthy in this as being hateful. It's desperation, desperation to find anything about W as being cavalier and honorable and desperation to invalidate the perceptions of those who don't feel the same way about it as you.

US President George W. Bush (C) reaches past Chilean security guards to pull his Secret Service agent from the crowd after he was blocked from entering the official dinner. The bodyguard rescue was one of several incidents during Bush's APEC summit including his getting the date of the Iraq elections wrong and misnaming the Indonesian president(AFP/File/Timothy A.
