31%....a few points and he'll set the all time low record which I believe is around 27-28% from Nixon or Truman.

Where in the hell did Buckshot Cheney get the additional 12% from (he was in the high-teens at one time)?

What I do not understand how anyone can expect a country can fight a multifront war and not pay for it by raising taxes.
Then, please explain to me why taxes haven't gone up yet. We've been spending 750,000,000 per day in Iraq, according to Republican Senators (roughly a year ago), but yet taxes haven't gone up. As a matter of fact, taxes on all large corporations, along with the wealthiest ~2% of the population have dropped drastically. How exactly is that possible?

Hey, the WH is filling out those credit card applications as fast as they can--cut them some slack! :D

It's quite simple really. If countries has credit scores, U.S.A's credit score would now be around negative 5000. Eventually we will stop being given the credit and the U.S. dollar will displace Scott as an affordable toilet paper.

Wow, such ignorance and downright cruelty from the Bush supporters in this thread. Some have NO CLUE what a truly "radically left liberal" is and others wanting an even MORE aggressive foreign policy? Jesus H. Christ on a popsicle stick!!

Maybe they're just pissed cuz he's now down to 3 1 % and they don't have many friends anymore ;)

WOW - 69% woke up and smelled the coffee?

That's a lot of votes I'm going to get, thanks Georgie

Shouldn't you at least update your site if you still consider yourself a contender? Last update 5/24/2005 ....

Changes are a coming.

Moving to a Headquarters shortly.

Bush approval ratings dropping.

This is one trend which I would very much like to see "stay the course."

Does anyone have an up-to-date graph of his approval ratings over time? There used to be one floating around with all of the different polls graphed on one graph. But the last I saw it updated was about 6 months ago.

no no no...you got it all wrong...what you thought those applications are, are actually corporate welfare gift cards worth billions of $$ that bush and cheney are handing out to friends and family using $$ that their friends over at the fed are cranking out at a furious pace to keep up with the demand that bush and cheney are creating.;)

edit - syntax

Here is some typical 'Gung-ho' type remarks made when ships return from deployment. "Mission Accomplished" is nothing special.

"Nine months ago, you set sail on a routine deployment," he said. "It was anything but routine. You worked in the Mediterranean and the Persian Gulf.
In each place, you served our nation with great distinction. You've made history. You've freed a nation and made the world a safer place to live." link

?The professionalism and dedication you displayed in the defense of our nation and the principles of freedom were unparalleled. Your leadership and professionalism ensured the success of complex and difficult combat operations,? link

"I'm very proud of everything this crew has accomplished," said Rear Adm. John Kelly, Lincoln Carrier Strike Group (CSG) commander. "I know the extension has been tough and everyone's missing their loved ones, but it was important for us to hold the line and support our ground troops." link

"We've been beamed into everyone's living rooms for the last three months. We are the champions," Wren said. "We made our mark in history. We made a mark against terrorism, defeated the Taliban, crushed al-Qaeda, and we are going home heroes." link

God! Can you even see how you're digging the hole deeper? Your quotes help make conjur's point even more poignant.

How can a person think things that cost money (defense, fire stations, police, etc.) will always cost the same? srsly...

It's up to you to elect people who raise taxes only as needed, not constantly supporting pork barrel bee ess.

That would make sense if taxes were a flat fee... not a percentage of your income. Why should the govt need to grow faster than the country?

Also, why are you asking the question (in bold)? Did I infer that government should grow faster than the country?
