HappyPuppy, let me guess, you're probably the same type of person who throws McDonald's wrappers out of your car on the highway because you don't think it will make one bit of difference..

Your statements make me laugh. "Tree huggers". What a bunch of bull -- it's too bad you think the way you do and it seems you don't care one bit about the environment.

CO2 is like food to plants, think of it as fertilizer. CO2 aids a plant's ability to turn sunlight into starch and those other lame sugars. u put a plant in 100% CO2, it'll grow real fast

and also, as for deforestization, most oxygen is produced in the ocean by algae , and the earth is covered 75% by water, trees mostly absorb all the bad pollutants like a filter. when they cut open trees and examined the tree rings they could tell which years the tree grew during the industrial age when there were lots of coal plants

You said that you don't like the "enviro extremists" because they want to "Command authority over your life". I pointed out the flaws in your argument (that there are alot of people/organisations that "command authority over your life" and that without that, we would be living in an anarchy).

I'm only walking where you are leading me. If we are going off-topic, I suggest you look in to mirror to find the cause.
