How so? I think its dumb to not think forward. You have to. It's just like a business. Don't think forward, you fail. We as a human race will fail if we neglect to take our actions into account. "Global warming" describes a result or effect, it neither implies nor states anything about a "cause". Nobody disputes the 'globe' is 'warming', not even the Bush administration disputed it. The dispute is over the causes of the warming trend and the degree (and rate) to which it is warming.

Please. Global warming and cooling are caused by cyclic changes in the orbit and tilt of the planet Earth as well as the changes in temperature radiated from the Sun. Hydrocarbon emissions emmited from internal combustion engines do not have any effect on the the temperature or climate of planet Earth.

I have aske this question many times before: What caused glaciers to creep into the Great Plains of what is now called the United States of America and what caused those glaciers to recede?
