Yes they did but as a worker for a school he can not touch kids like that unless it was in self defense and look at him compared to the kids.

He should had simply waited for the officer to get there and let him handle it instead of taking it into his hands.

You do realize the kid knocked the driver also? The kids a bitch for taking that from a busdriver. He punched him one time, he didn't even physically threaten the old man and the guy manhandles him. This incident was a disgrace, the kid didn't even fight when the driver grabbed his neck, shoulda whacked him with the seatbelt.

Edit: The felony is also crap for the kids, they got a record now. The elderly man got a misdemanor assault charge, which I also think is crap. SInce wearing the belt is not required on school buses there's no reason to be requested to do so. Now it may seem I'm for the kids but I'm not, I'm just stating my opinions.

Those kids should be given capital punishment and the bus driver should be given one week suspension without pay.

Why does it seem like everyone on ATOT wants the freakin' death penalty for jaywalking?

What I saw on the tape was something that would warrant a serious sit-down discussion with the parents and school officials, detentions/suspensions for the kids, and a week of suspension without pay for the driver. That's it. No one should go to jail for the sort of weak struggling that the tape depicted.

Dickinson and Hendershot both face felony charges, which are required by law when a school employee is involved.

stupid law. Despite what people on this forum seem to think, harsher penalties AREN'T the best way of ensuring better behavior. They just make more people criminals and ensure less respect for the legal system, as the punishment is not seen to fit the crime.

Sure, Singapore is very clean...but so is Ottawa. Which would you prefer to live in?
