Pure jealousy.

Yes, we just love the 40 million fat americans without health insurance.

Actually, many of us do have decent jobs. Are you Canadian? I don't know why, but Socialism always bothered me...

Well I guess it goes woith the territtory. If it wasn't for us then Asswipes like Hussien would beome more of a danger and many of those countries who can sit on the sideline, including may of these Arab Nations, and criticize us would find themselves at his mercy. It must be nicve being a Piss Ant Countries like France and Canada can whine and bitch about us knowing full well that when the sh!t hit's the fan we are there to protect their sniveling asses.

Too bad that Piss Ant Countries like France and Canada didn't ask the USA to protect their sniveling asses about Iraq.

Damn straight. Canada and France don't have as many reasons to be afraid of Saddam as the US does (in fact, Canada's only concern should be its proximity to the US). Proximity is also the very reason the US would defend Canada in a war - to prevent the invading country from controlling land so close to their own.

Don't delude yourself - Hussein doesn't hate Canada (or France), Hussein hates the USA, and it's the USA's fault.

I was told a few minutes ago from another member that if 9/11 hadn't happened we wouldn't have this audacity. If one believes this member, one has to think...and think deeply. Not saying 9/11 was a good thing, but if you are an oppressed Iraqi citizen you have to be a little mixed up inside. If not for the 3,000 innocent Americans dying that day, we wouldn't be over there liberating them.

Sorry but your picture disgusts me. Bush never accused Saddam of having a part in 9/11.

Read the other thread dude. The connection isn't, and never has been, a theory of mine. I was just throwing out the logical conclusion of Corn's theory.

Edit: And I wasn't trying to say that there was a connection (per se) between 9/11 and Saddam. And I don't think Corn was either. What he was saying was that as a result of 9/11, we are in Iraq. Believe him or not. His opinion.

Well we do have the most powerful economy on Earth as well as the most powerful military. So those who say that cannot be proven wrong.

I find those that oppose us so persistently are those that feel insecure about their position in the world.

I don't look down on other countries, but if you have the right to have pride in your country, then I have the right to have pride in my country. Don't be offended by that.

For what?

Freeing the Iraki people, well, seems the miscalculation of Rumsfeld went on to the the miscalculation of Franks as most of these are NOT welcoming US troops, you have got women, children and old men (the ones who are not in the army) fighting you, 8000 out of more than 500000 is nothing, most people know that the worst battles, the worst casualties of both american and irakis are yet to come, this is not a simple little war as Bush and Rumsfeld described it as, this is a difficult war to fight, because the opponent can do just about anything at any given time...

Yet Saudi Arabia and Pakistan are allowed to keep their regimes, where the links to terrorism are much stronger, oh add Iran to that or what... the us will eventually take over the entir middle east?

Red, you're a smart man, this is BS and you know it...

Well good riddance then. Sorry that the US isn't a pacifist country like Sweden. We actually have principles which we stand for. Bush and Rumsfeld never said it was a simple war to begin with. Not sure where you get your information. And if you really think the US's goal is to take over the Middle East, then I have no clue what to tell you. You're obviously beyond common sense.

I just stated that i will take responses via PM but you wish to continue anyways...

you know , it's people like you, yeah, just like you that make people think about arrogant americans, i bet mosts americans feel you are a disgrace...

The goal of the us is to end terrorism, that would mean to take control of saudi arabia (known links) pakistan (known links) iran (known links) as welll as Irak (no known links)...

So tell me, just how are you going to do it?

OK . . . understood about repeating someone elses theory . . . There are only "so many" thread you can monitor. And I can agree in that 9/11 sped up events so that we are in Iraq much sooner than if it had never happened.

Self-imposed exile, huh? ;) Just because you snapped that one night? Oh, c'mon. I bet those you argue with the most would be lost without you. Look at Tex. How many of his opponents have said they sort of miss him? Umm...well, ok, bad example....but really, who here hasn't been flamed or done a little name calling themselves? Unless, of course, you yourself are having problems keeping this stuff from becoming personal.

Sorry Bubba but that was at best an incoherent rant and not worth addressing.

Could those of you who hate the U.S. and do not think it is superior tell me why so many people want to come live here?
I'll tell you why.
Freedom and opportunity.
Freedom to live your lives as you choose. Freedom to express your opinions no matter how illogical and wrong they are. Freedom to practice whatever religion you choose.
Opportunity to succeed and prosper no matter what your race, religion, gender, or economic background.

Why do some people hate us?
Islamic fundamentalists are the primary driving force of anti-americanism worldwide. Yes there are other reasons. Our government has done things that angered people. But the major source of hatred for us comes from Islamic fundamentalists.

They hate us because we do not follow their religious teachings. They see us as sinners because we are free to drink, smoke, have sex outside of marriage, expose our bodies, listen to non-religious music, and do many other things that Islam prohibits.
Islamic fundamentalists are taught that non-believers are a threat to their religion and must be destroyed. It is our freedom that they hate. Our society is one of non-believers(at least in Islam) so they see it as a duty of their faith to destroy us.

These Islamic fundamentalists have been teaching hatred for America for decades. They recruit followers from the time they are children and teach them over and over that America is evil and wants to destroy their people and religion. These people grow up in countries that lack freedom. They have no free press or freedom of speech. It is not surprising that people who have been told over and over by their governments and their government run media that Americans are the enemy will believe it.

What we must do to change this is to encourage the growth and prosperity of countries with more moderate Islamic beliefs, while eliminating those that seek to harm us like Iraq. Removing Saddam and helping to create a free Iraq will be a very helpful step in the right direction. It will show the rest of the Arab world that they can have a peaceful and prosperous society free from tyranny and dictatorship.

Sure as long as you promise to keep up with your tired old "America: Love it or Leave it" Rhetoric.

I never said anything like that.
If you want to disagree with something I said or have an intelligent conversation, I would be glad to discuss it with you and anyone else.
If you are just going to throw out one-liners based on incorrect assumptions and generalizations, you are wasting disk space.

I said nothing about love it or leave it. I was simply pointing out to the America haters that there are very good reasons that more people want to come to the U.S. than any other country in the world. And fewer people want to leave the U.S. than any other country in the world. Dissidents in many other countries are killed or forced to leave. Dissidents in the U.S. have every right to express their views and work to make this a better country.

So many of the "America Love it or Leave it" knuckleheads have used the same argument that I assumed you to be one of them. I apolagize.
