For people that have the TV, try these display settings and see if you like the picture any better:

24 color
40 tint
40 bright
40 pic
24 sharp

It makes for a decent baseline adjustment. If you come up with anything else, let me know :)

I went to a CC last night to look at the tv and I was not impressed with it. I usually like Panasonic stuff, but when I saw this thing sitting next to a 27" WEGA, it looked pretty sad. The Sony was much brighter and the colors were a lot truer. It still seems like an awesome deal, but I don't know if I'm going to jump on it considering that I was a little dissapointed with the picture. I'd rather spend some more cash and get what I really want (32" Sony WEGA), considering that I don't buy a tv all that often.

You should go to BB and purchase the 27" Sharp 27R-FS1. It is currently only $475. I am going to get one today. I trying to find this Panasonic (and couldn't) and was also considering the AKAI at Sam's Club deal... I probably would have bought the Akai the other night but my car was too small. In the end I decided that an extra $100 - $150 was worth it to me to be happy with my purchase and not worry about reliability and all that. In the end I will be much happier... just some thoughts for yall. Good luck TV hunting! :)

Bump for 2 reason . . .

One, dosnt Circuit City already have a BVG would that mean we cant get in on the deal?
Amex would specificly ask for CC have BVG correct?

Two, Bump to the top. Amex BVG is ending in May. Enjoy it while it last

<< Ron Carter you have any problem with your TV? >>

YES, there is a problem with the TV. ITS TOO DAMN CHEAP

There is no way that the WEGA is better then the PANASONIC. When I bought mine, they were sitting next to each other and the Panasonic had the exact picture quality as the WEGA if not better. I stood in the store for 30 minutes comparing TVs of all brands and I chose the Panasonic not only b/c it was a Bargain, but its a damn good TV. The TV is crystal clear hooked up to my DTV and DVD player. And the sound is pretty pretty dang good!

Dont listen to these doods..... Im thinkin they are just pissed cuz they cant get one....

EpsilOn--I agree. I bought the Sharp as an openbox @ BB for $399--it had a small ding on the corner and had never been used. I compared it side by side to my son's 27" Wega and it is as good if not better.

Jayhawks--on the way to the national championship.

roncarter.. I don't care either way. I could have one sitting in my living room right now, but honestly, I looked at not only this Panasonic, but compared the 32" version to the WEGA as well and I noticed the very same thing. Maybe this CC has an incentive to sell more Sony's and screwed up the picture on the Panny on purpose. Who knows.. It was just enough excuse for me to follow through with my original plans and buy the 32" WEGA instead

Question about the AMEX PM policy. If you buy the set at CC for $550 plus tax, don't you only get back $250 from AMEX because of their max $250 PM? That would make the set $300 + tax then, wouldn't it?

Sal . . .

Try to talk to people at CC.

They took off 20 bucks for me. Not much but then again, its better then without the 20.

YMMV

so price was

529.98
*TAX
= 529.98 + TAX
- 250.00
=My bottom price.

BTW What i dont understand is dosnt CC already have a BVG? Or because CC wont match online so it AMEX have to cover?

PS: The picture quality for XBOX game JSF is awsome. My cable box may be the sucky signal. Ill do some checks later.

Yesterday I went to a CC to try to PM, the manager did agree to lower the price to
$499.99, I didn't agree to buy because the extra $20 between the AMEX's max
refund, today went to another CC, the cunning manager didn't agree to PM at all,
Can someone post the scanned receipt.

I did compare this TV with other two SONY Wega(27 too, but higher price), tab's color
is not as good as wega, but has much better clarity. The manager did try to adjust the wega's clarity but can not reach the level tab has, if they are the same price, I will
definetly go to this tab.

I'm thinking of getting in on this deal as well but already got the Toshiba deal a few months back for $250. Love shopping in Delaware , no tax.

Regarding some of your concern that CC having the own PM policy. Just state to Amex that CC does not PM with BestBuy's internet chain. Or wait the 14days? period or whatever the CC have. When I bought my Toshiba flat screen, the Amex folk did stated to me that BestBuy have their own PM policy, but the store I was PMing to (6th ave) was no where near the BestBuy so they just took it. Got my check, but had to refax the info a few times as it was from a newspaper circular.

This might make for a good Bedroom TV. Gonna hunt one down this weekend.

Hope this helps.

That's a mighty big TV for a bedroom.

Would love to see how big your entertainment system screen is. I'll bring the popcorn. :)

Here's my story:
When I get to CC, I told the salesman that I wanted to PM with bestbuy. The man called bestbuy and said that bestbuy doesn't carry it. So I went to bestbuy and let them print out a price verification for me, then I went back. The man called again and confirmed that. So he went to ask his manager and the manager said that it is on clearance one year ago and won't give any discount to me. The salesman suggest me to talk to the man in customer service who wear black shirt. Then man in customer service was very kind and we said we are uncomfortable with such a high price compared to bestbuy although bestbuy had none in stock. The price difference is so huge. The man asked how much discount I want. I said $50. Then the deal was done. I'm happy with the TV and my AMEX $250 would be back soon. Thanks for all of you. I even didn't know that CC would give discount if you try to argue with them.
