How is the BC there? Are you getting any rendering/emulation lag? I've only tried a handful of games, but they all suffered from this. :(

I have this for PS2 and shelved it quickly. I liked the game a LOT but the constant loading on the PS2 was killing me. PLEASE tell me the load time are much better on the 360!

Thanks for bringing this up. I dont recall the load times being long at all. I'll pay more attention to it once I get more time with it and report back or mention it on the podcast.

How were the controls in the Wii version? I want the Wii version since the system is more portable. The graphical differences aren't enough to get me to buy it for 360 but crappy Wii motion controls migth push me over the edge.

I dont feel like I spent enough time with it really to give a difinitive cirtique about it. But if I had to say anything about it, it just didnt strike me as fantastic or awful? I'll see if I can spend more time with it tonight.

I read a review on gamespot and it said it was about the same difference as Godfather on the Wii from other versions. I liked Godfather on the Wii and using the motion controls weren't as bad as I thought they would be. I am definitely going to pick up this game.

That's good to know. I really enjoyed the Godfather on the Wii although it was a a bit repetitive.

It's interesting that the new versions didn't score as high as the original even with updated graphics and additional content. Original PS2 version is 87% on Metacritic while the 360 is at 83% and the Wii at 80%.

We have just become aware of the issues people are having with Bully Scholarship Edition on Xbox 360. It appears that some older 360s are experiencing framerate issues, freezes and other problems. You have our word that we never experienced any of this in QA - in any of our offices or at Microsoft. I am horrified, and we are now working around the clock to rectify this situation. Thanks to Neo-Gaf for bringing this matter to our attention. We love our games and put a huge amount of energy and care into making them all that they can be. We would never shove anything out the door - we never have and never will. We apologise to everyone affected for the inconvenience. Respectfully, Sam Houser

Yeah I heard it has severe problems. Over on CAG most people are complaining of it having weird load times and freezing their system every few minutes.

I was gonna get it but I decided to get Naruto Rise of a ninja first because I been meaning to get that for awhile.

Good thing I heard about it. My 360 is rather 'old' so maybe I'll hold off on getting it, if at all... till a patch is released. By that time though, GTA4 will probably be out so, well... yah I wont be playing anything else.

I highly, highly recommend you download the Japanese language pack (it's free on XBL MP). It didn't release with the game like they said it would and man was it disappointing to have to hear the horrible English voices.

EDIT:

Also, if you want some fun in the game, I spent awhile in Konoha abusing game physics trying to reach higher places without having double jump. The toughest one is one spot in the game where you if a sign wasn't there, you could easily jump up to the next level... well, if you abuse some physics to make you "stuck", you can then jump up to the next level. Doing this will make a bunch more coins available that you couldn't get until you had double jump. Also, when you get double jump, there's a single point in which you can get up on the rooftops to grind the rails ratchet and clank style. It's over on the eastern side... you'll see a smaller water container near a larger water container and an electrical doohickey on a wall nearby. You need to get onto the larger water container and jump to the electrical doohickey. I believe it's possible to do this without double jump as well.

Yeah not to jack this thread but the first thing I did was get the Japanese voices. I have to say this game is awesome and this comes from someone who has never read or watched Naruto. I heard it is short but I don't know cuz I haven't finished it yet. The fighting game mechanics are very fun too. I'm gonna try those physics glitches.

Back on topic. I hope they release a patch for Bully because I really wanted to try it.

Wow, the frame rate on the Wii version looked up there with the 360. Might just have to pick this up.

You won't be saying that the AI is much fun when you start fighting certain characters. Sasuke should be renamed Jumpsuke, because that's all he does... jump, jump, jump!! Not to mention, I had no idea how to go into super uber power mode, so opponents kept doing this to me and dealing 2x as much damage until I learned how to do it :p. One nice aspect of the fighting is that it's a lot like Naruto Gekito Ninja Taisen, which are only available for the Gamecube and Wii. I have GNT3 for the GC, but my brother's the one with the gamecube :(. The Playstation Naruto games are too much like SSB and I found them pretty annoying. I used to have Naruto Narutimett Portable for the PSP, but it was just too dull.

I've spent around 3+ hours just running around Konoha trying to get coins and such. I even had my brother and friend on Trash Can Duty as I wasn't really paying much attention to them .

Well, I dont know about "Older" 360's.. I have 2 Falcons mfg in late '07 that are definately having FR issues, tearing, and loooong load times.

Nothing game breaking, but the issues are more noticeable that even Mass Effect. Other than that, I am having alot of fun with this one.

Yeah, I need to pick that up again. I got to the Zabuza fight before I had to take it back to the store. I spent so much time just running around through the town that I didn't get very far in the overall game.

I think I'm around 6 hours in.... I ran around Konoha so much Prince of Persia'ing it up that the last fight I did was with the "Thief Boss" that stole some scroll or something. Storyline wise, the last thing I did was when Naruto first met up with Kakashi, Sakura and Sasuke :p. Yeah, I didn't get too far .

So I've been playing this game all day, and it's awesome. It's basically a clean GTA. I have no issues with freezing and the framerate/loading times are acceptable. Actually, the only time I had a poor framerate and tons of tearing was at the very beginning of the game with the intro.

Really enjoying it.

Funny how reactions are different between EA and other developers/publishers. ;)
