Ok, so it's called "Bulletstorm" and maybe I shouldn't try and analyze the motivations of the enemies and I should just turn my brain off and shoot things... but, let me get this story straight. You and your buddy land on a planet and the local natives who work as miners jump up and start shooting you for no reason at all. They continue to shoot you despite the fact that you clearly have better weapons than them, and you have killed literally dozens and dozens of them. Then you make your way out of the mine to leave and they decide to destroy it in the random hope that they can stop you before you leave. Then they destroy bridges, multiple miles of train track, several trains, dozens of helicopters and one gigantic mining machine trying to kill you. Why? You are leaving...? The property damage sacraficed to kill two guys is now measured in the hundreds of millions of dollars (or credits, or zorkmids, or whatever currency they use) and they still keep attacking... why? What motivates them...? Isn't someone going to be the least bit annoyed with the miners that they destroyed virtually everything in a high tech mine trying to kill two random strangers who stopped by? I can just imagine the scene when the supervisor of the mine learns that they destroyed a 300ft. mining drill bit in an effort to level the main railway bridge in the hope of stopping two random guys from escaping.
Beyond the fact that none of this makes any sense to me... it's fun. Although my framerate is barely sufficient.
