ok failing all of this get a set of usb headphones and if they work then that will give you some idea that the onboard sound is working..but i still think it`s a bios issue

the plug that connects the front audio ports. so what i'm asking is whether it has a plug that i can plug the front audio cable to the sound card

the answer is no..it does not

okay i replaced the mobo and now there is sound. Everything seems to be working right now. I will play some games to make sure nothing is wrong. the bad part of replacing my mobo was that I had to reinstall windows 7. I haven't activate it yet tho because I want to make sure that every thing is okay.

Just a small question, right now some of the windows aero features, like window preview won't work. The reason is because I haven't activated the product key yet, right?

Aero will work if you Windows Experience Index score is high enough. You may need to re-run the test if you haven't run it since all drivers were installed.
