I say get the 7200.8s. If you can wait for thsoe to go on sale at Frys or any good deal, they're much better HDs. As for 160GB HDs, I thought Hitachi came out as one of the fastest ones. That's why I bought myself a 160GB Hitachi last summer.

according to the pics it does have a 380W p/s and since the only thing he is using that would require a lot of power is the video card, plus only 1 hdd, 1 optical drive. i think he would be ok, but i wouldn't run a dual sli video card setup with that p/s

how much do you think he needs? the 480W antec ones have 18A on the 12V line...

As you can see in the last pic, I concealed the optical drive bay using the meshed bezel that the case came with. Though this bezel was screwed into the case initially, that means there were metal straps that were attached to it. Well, its nothing a dremel cant cure. Since the bezel is meshed, using double sided tape directly is a no-no since it totally shows from the outside. What I had to do was use a strong glue stick and glue black card board to the inside part of the bezel. then i used double sided tape to tape the bezel to the drive bay. Vua-lah. It's a beaut. As for noise, as you can probably see from my sig, I've used all Zalman products to keep them quiet. And guess what! It's insanely quiet when tuned to the lowest speed settings. My CPU fan is the loudest piece in my case. Everything else and almost inaudible, aside from the HDD seeking.

does that zalman gpu cooler allow for much o/c? i was going to get one because they seem to be pretty universal and i would like to get my 9800pro to xt speeds and the stock cooler just will not cut it. noise is not a concern. also what is your room temp? and what monitor is that? lastly, did you clean your desk for the pics or is it always that clean?

the zalman cooler does a very decent job for o/c-ing. mcuh better hten stock cooler. getting it to xt speeds shouldnt be a problem at all. my room temp is about 76 degrees or so. the monitor is the dell 2005fpw 20.1" widescreen. my specs are in my sig. and yes, my desk is always that "dirty". i'm just really neat and i hate making a mess.

Cooler Master does make good PSU's so the only problem is wether or not it is powerful enough for your rig. I don't know how accurate this is, but it may help.

This may also help.

the extreme website one says i need 400W, where the other site makes good sense too. the enermax one they reference is nice and pretty cheap @ $44. looks like i am running on the edge of my psu....
