thats awesome
if any racing was for me, it would be rally

much more intriguing than street racing, and the drivers are much more gifted than the street racing punks.

dude near me has a Skoda favourite rally car...its pretty cool, with the big flappy PVC mud flaps, and big row of spot lamps on the front, full roll cage, and i love the detachable steering wheel, ultimate anit-theft, cant steal it if you cant drive it .

its got a 6 speed gearbox too, no idea why skoda decided on that (this is before VW took over too)

Mobil 1 Rally Championship - Its a very old game. You might not be able to buy it, but you might be able to find it on abandonware or something else.

why don't they just build one from scratch instead of taking apart a pre-built one and take it completely apart?

considering thats how all rally cars are... you cant just 'build' a car, you take parts and build a better one from a specific model.. the wrx is a very common base car for rally racing.

But it's subaru modifying their own car. So they could just have it custom built from the ground up to be like what they want.

Cool pics btw...
Now I want to play richard burns rally, if I didn't have to go to work in 5 minutes :(

Colin McRae's physics are a joke - that said I don't know any good ones.

LOL yeah it did seem like things were a bit... different, control-wise, than any other racing game I've played. But I had just chalked it up to being a rally n00b :p

i think it was to more or less to show what rally teams go through to create a good car
and it probably wasn't subaru doing it, it was a team they sponsored. Does Subaru actually have their own racing team? like i said, i just figure it was probably a sponsored team of theirs that agreed to a photoshoot of the process to be posted on their page.
more money for the team pretty much :)

I'm pretty sure the engineers are from subaru. One of the biggest competitions of rallying are the car manufacturers - who can make a more durable car that can last through all the harsh conditions. But I could be wrong.

Richard Burns Rally hands down? It's the most realistic rally simulator ever made, or should I say, the most realistic car sim ever made!
