considering thats how all rally cars are... you cant just 'build' a car, you take parts and build a better one from a specific model.. the wrx is a very common base car for rally racing.
But it's subaru modifying their own car. So they could just have it custom built from the ground up to be like what they want.
Cool pics btw...
Now I want to play richard burns rally, if I didn't have to go to work in 5 minutes![]()
i think it was to more or less to show what rally teams go through to create a good car
and it probably wasn't subaru doing it, it was a team they sponsored. Does Subaru actually have their own racing team? like i said, i just figure it was probably a sponsored team of theirs that agreed to a photoshoot of the process to be posted on their page.
more money for the team pretty much![]()

This doesn't include rallying as a whole, and of course Mitsubishi kicking ass in the Dakar. Ever since Makinen left after 2001, and they introduced the new Lancer Evolution WRC, they've look like crap and as previously mentioned they will be taking another year off from WRC. Which leaves just two factory teams in WRC next year.

I think this list stretches for over 20 yrs or so.
I don't think Lancia still competes in the group N rallies. I thought they stopped since Group B died?

That gallery pisses me off. 30-some pictures of the unibody welds and cage, 1 picture of the engine, and not much else. :|
BTW, they said no AC in the comments, but the engine picture they show has AC on the left hand side, if my eyes do not decieve me.

This is a typical interior switch panel for a Group N car and usually goes in place of the factory radio. The large red button is what would deploy the fire system if needed.
Nice job examining the pictures, but you need to work on your reading skills![]()
