Buddy movies=supressed homosexuality?

I think that it's getting to the point that whenever I see a buddy movie I always think that the two guys involved are closeted homosexuals that are star crossed lovers that try so hard to hide their raging mutual lust while experiencing many hilarious misadventures.. I mean, this dates back to the lethal weapon series but sometimes it's just bizarre..Like The two towers.. OK, that's not a typical buddy movie.. But still. I was positive that sam and frodo were going to get it on but couldn't because gullom was always around.. end of rant..

This is the first time I've ever used this as the primary text of my response:

*Chuckles* Yes, I have to agree there! When you had that whole "I'm your Sam" scene at the end there, I was waiting for the big Hobbit kiss 😀 Come on! Try watching that again and telling me it doesn't look like they're about to lip lock right there.

Yeah, I was squirming in my seat during that whole scene.. In fact, I would have preferred if they just locked lips - the closure would have been better than the after thought of them having gay hobbit sex..

Bad example, given that they've got a cute little girl to balance out the threesome, but that's a whole 'nother can of sexual worms...

this only applies to Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. J.Lo is just for keeping up appearances

I can only imagine what the reactions would be like if Jackson had included all of the hand holding and close sleeping that goes on in the book. 😛

Edit: Oh yeah, and now I'm Golden! 🙂

umm... yeah.

call me crazy, but I think you're talking about "friends". those are people you enjoy hanging around for reasons other than their sexual organs. if you think every "buddy" is homosexual, I'd tend to believe your very insecure about your own sexuality.

Can you say... homophobia?

Exactly. I think you're reading way too much into this if you think every buddy flick is actually a subtle gay message. It's called "being friends", not "riding each other up the Hershey Highway". Grow up.
