Buddy movies=supressed homosexuality?

How funny, Freedomsbeat. You post a whiny, pathetic post about how your parents aren't understanding your oh-so-wonderful relationship with some jewish girl, and lambast them for their intolerance. Now your hatred of homsexuals is so frothing that you hallucinate interaction when it doesn't exist?

Ha. You're pathetic.

I always thought of football as a latent homo thing. Guys in nylon chasing each other around..jumping on each other..trying to get the ball..patting each other on the assk.

I think that it's getting to the point that whenever I see a buddy movie I always think that the two guys involved are closeted homosexuals that are star crossed lovers that try so hard to hide their raging mutual lust while experiencing many hilarious misadventures.. I mean, this dates back to the lethal weapon series but sometimes it's just bizarre..Like The two towers.. OK, that's not a typical buddy movie.. But still. I was positive that sam and frodo were going to get it on but couldn't because gullom was always around.. end of rant..

This reminds me of the guy who posted that homosexuals have a fruity odor because of their pituitary glandular secretions or something.

uhoh, let's all get on the defensive because he insulted the nerd-favorite, lotr. sam and frodo are definitely queers.

sigh.

They're not gay, never were, never were written to be.

Sam's a simple devoted servant to his master, who loves him deeply.

It's a sad commentary on both masculinity and literacy that thier relationship is so often misinterpreted.

The relationships of men in adolescence and of those who endure shared hardships, (like war), are often represented, (and rightly), as similar to the emotional commitment of marriage or the like.

SUSPICIONS CONFIRMED!!!!!

I personally think you can form closer same sex friendships because of the lack of sexual tension and usually similar interests (like finding someone of the opposite sex to have relationships with).

If you always seem to see sexual tension between friends of the same sex then you should really examine which sex you are attracted too, because it seems to me you think too much about it or are projecting your thoughts onto how they feel.

This is a common thought, homophobia is really some form of pent up latent homosexuality. Think about it....🙂

LOL

So your saying Kirk, Spock and McCoy had orgys together?

"Scotty, I see your phaser is set on fun!"

"But Spock, I thought you felt no emotions...." "Captain, all the nebula's we've observed don't compare to your eyes."

"Unauthorized entry in shuttle bay #2!"

Actually, I don't think Buddy movies are 'gay.' I mean, unless you want them to be.... a lot of gay guys want and wish everything and everyone to be gay, just so they can fit in. The fact that you're demonstrating this behavior casts doubt on your own sexuality. BTW, I'm gay. I usually hang out on tweak3d, where we have posts like this every 3 seconds.... but our boards are down!!! *SOB* Come visit tweak3d forums when they're back up, there's good people in both forums.

The loving and faithful servant is not a common archetype in the US as it maybe or was in the UK.

*Chuckles* Yes, I have to agree there! When you had that whole "I'm your Sam" scene at the end there, I was waiting for the big Hobbit kiss 😀 Come on! Try watching that again and telling me it doesn't look like they're about to lip lock right there.

I felt the same way in that scene at the end of A Perfect Storm with Clooney and Walberg. 😉

i think it has more to do with the maturity of the audience than the audience origin.

sadly, we mark rather lowly on the maturity level as movie-goers.
