Well at least the Democrats got that plastic straw breakout under control

https://www.foxnews.com/health/dr-d...d-be-insulted-to-be-compared-with-los-angeles

Los Angeles had a typhus outbreak last summer and will likely have another this summer, Pinsky said. Meanwhile, bubonic plague – a pandemic that killed tens of millions of people during the 14th century – is “likely” already present in Los Angeles, Pinsky added.

Asked why the liberal politicians aren’t doing more to alleviate these conditions, Pinsky said they are “disgustingly negligent.”

The bubonic plague has been not terribly uncommon in the US for more than a century, this is nothing new. Exactly how stupid does a supposed doctor have to be to not know this.

https://abcnews.go.com/Health/plague-exists-now-us/story?id=55860883

lol @ the OP for watching Laura Ingraham or getting his health news from Dr. Drew though. Dr. Drew should stick to things he knows about like whether or not Vanilla Ice should stay in rehab.

Likely = assume?
When you assume...

Here are the facts..

If anything it looks like UT, AZ and NM have most of the cases.

The bubonic plague is caused by a bacteria and is easily treated with any number of antibiotics. It killed million people in the 14th century because we didn't have a germ theory yet. Today it is not even as dangerous as the common cold.

Thank you, OP for dispassionately and without bias bringing a well-known fact in educated circles to the masses. You have received your just rewards.

Well I wouldn't go that far because BP is a tough little ah heck. Why we don't commonly get it is due to our ancestors having resistance which allowed them to reach maturity and breed, passing on their genetic resistance. But like any other microbial disease, the act of treatment also provides the same benefit to the pathogen. Some survive the "plague" of antibiotics and pass on that quality to future generations and that leads to antibiotic resistance. A relative change in the mechanism of virulence then makes it far easier to pass on and potentially impossible to treat. Our only advantage then is sanitary precautions as you point out, but the plague once again becomes a killer, even in reduced numbers.

I don't worry about that very much but Ebola and a few other diseases scare the crap out of those familiar with it. We don't even know how it spreads. We have some clues but the actual mechanism? Beats the hell out of us. There's also the possibility that Ebola could become infective by airborne particulate. Think "Andromeda strain" on steroids.

Isn't knowledge fun?

I'd really like to see a total abolition of all "single use" polymers/plastics. Anything that isn't easily recycled or easily biodegraded has no place being "disposable"

Oh No!
Maybe I should move. How is it living in Russia @KillerBee is it real cold? Can I still use YouTube or Facebook or search the web without government filters?

Aren't posts without commentary not allowed?

Yes, but also this is yet another example of a Trump drone posting a thread with an intentionally misleading headline. Starting to think we should have a zero-tolerance policy for knowingly deceptive titles in P&N.

As others have said, OP you're a dumbfuck and should try and actually educate yourself on something before further reinforcing just what a dumbfuck you are by posting evidence of it over and over.

One correction, that is Colorado not Utah above New Mexico.

I agree. Some folks are only here to start and keep topics with misleading titles in view.
