Bruise Question

I got a baseball size bruise on my outer thigh from a dirtbike crash. I've never had a bruise this big or dark before.

the left side is greenish the right side is purple. That doesn't concern me. The part that does is the center is red. Is that normal? Does that mean its still bleeding or something?

I don't think I broke or fractured anything since I can walk and jump on it just find and nothing hurts(except the bruise of course). It also seems to change more red if I ice it.

How tender is the bruise? I would be careful, because you could end up with some kind of infection or even cellulitis.

I don't know, I guess I would say no more tender than a bruise of that size should be. Initially there was a har lump, and I couldn't lay on my side because it hurt. But that has since gone away and now it's just sore I guess.

If it gets any more painful, like if you can't walk on it get it checked out by a Dr. My boss had a bruise like that recently and ended up in emerg on a Friday night needing to get the infection drained. Gross...

I don't think it's anything like that, at least not right now. If anything it's gotten less painful. I just thought that the whole thing would have started turning purple by now.
