Chuck Norris once roundhouse kicked Bruce Lee, breaking him in half. The result was Jet Li and Jackie Chan.

Was it really necessary to bump this?

Lee is a much better fighter and has greater mastery of martial arts. He's quick, and strong. Norris wouldn't stand a chance.

He was a heavyweight champ you know right?

Still Bruce Lee was pretty special, if he came now he would have an easier life...at his time they wanted to destroy him.

Steven Siegal was great at one point...then went hollywood and political. I am sure he is still a great opponent, but definitely not the best.

not true. Lee was a martial arts legend in taiwan/hk/china well before he became a movie star in the United States. He hit with an incredible amount of strength that could easily crush anything it touches with speed and precision. In his films, the camera often had to slow down because his hands moved way too quickly.

Like most gymnasts, martial artists train all their lives and as a result, it severely stunts their growth. That is why Jet Li is relatively small as well, but the weight is more or less inconsequential. Having big muscles is good in an american style grappling contest, though.

The winner would be the one who trained & executed their technique with the most precision and force.

Any other speculation is useless.

The fight scene between Norris and Bruce Lee near the end of "Return of the Dragon" required 58 takes because Norris kept accidentally beating Bruce Lee. Finally after shooting the scene 57 times, a stunt double had to be brought in to replace Norris. This stunt double was, of course, a young Vin Diesel.
