i would use chrome if it had adblock, xmarks and fast dial. Those are the only three i really need.

Chrome has fastdial built into it.

chrome has its own issues. it too happily gives up ram when minimized, perhaps this is good for folks with no ram, but if your system is busy burning/encoding and you minimize, then you get the system stall/thrashy thrashy as you bring the window back up. firefox doesn't do that.

Anyone know of a good addon in firefox to stop embedded audio from playing?

If you don't need the add-ons, Chrome's a good choice. I use it (and all the other browsers since I design web pages). It's nice, slick and fast.
