I didn't see the "at work" part. I voted firefox because that's what I use at home.

I suppose my answer would be the default android browser (whatever it is on my galaxy s2) since I spend more time browsing the internet on it that actually working.

Mostly chrome, though firefox supports some critical plugins that we need (sadly, the plugins are for SmartGWT, which works with GWT, which is a google product).

I used IE for years and years. The only reason I switched to Firefox was for ad-blocker plus. The ads here on AT were getting annoying as hell. (not the normal banner adds, but the odd varieties that many have bitched about in Tech Issues.

I tried Chrome for a while. It's OK, but I wasn't totally happy with it and went back to Firefox.

Only real issue I have with it is that recently it seems to be getting less and less stable. Most of the issues seem to be related to flash player locking up, or using 200mb of ram, so I'm not sure who to point the blame at yet.

I have the same problem, not sure what is causing it. Usually only shows up in my e-mail windows (which all use Gmail).

I also use chrome (installed without admin rights also, of course) for personal browsing at work...but I see no reason to use incognito mode. You're going through their system, so they know where you're going already...no need to pull up my browsing history to prove it.

edit: also, chrome is the best and I shall never be convinced otherwise!

I use chrome on both my laptops, it is great, except for its kind of lame toolbar support. I like my real stumble upon tool bar.

Blame Adobe. It's been an issue since 11.3. I went back to 11.2 and things are peachy again.

I have the same issue with firefox. Chrome doesn't seem to be any better in that regard as well.

Although flash has been VERY stable for me recently. This is something that has not happened in over a year.

I like FF a lot, but after giving IE9 a chance and finding that it never ever gives me a problem (FF liked to give me some kind of weird memory leak where suddenly it would be eating 400+mb of ram for two basic tabs), it's become my default. It's not like the old days where IE was terrible (IE6, IE7, and IE8 to some degree), so it's meh. On XP systems I always install Chrome though, as IE8 runs notably worse than Chrome on systems like that, and better than FF as well, though I prefer the FF interface to Chrome.

So anyway :

FF = win
Chrome = win
Safari = ?? seems legit on Mac at least

I do remember back in the day when Netscape 2, 3, and 4 were the bomb. Early IE was god fucking awful, and the proprietary built-in browsers with some internet dial-up packages were atrocious as well. Then Netscape took some kind of weird left turn and ended up sucking. I think that was around the time I switched to Mozilla (pre-Firefox).

Opera at work and home!! Even have my work email configured on it, instead of Outlook.
