Browser-based game: OGAME - come on, join!

and we need an IRC channel for online folks/realtime stuff. It's been years since I have done IRC, anyone want to figure that out and post the details?

Post comments on any categories you feel are necessary or whatever but I'm sure it will be easier to get answers and such there than in this gigantic thread.

irc would be nice, but i cant use that at work during the day so i would be no help.

but i can make a channel on what efnet?

heh all you can do really is just keep fleetsaving to make their attacks as unprofitable as possible. meanwhile keep building up your fleets and maybe counter attack during any opportunities that may arise...

you cant go in vacation mode once someone hits the attack button, you have to wait for the attack to get over with

he isnt liking that move, that way he isnt playing

what he is going to do is spend money on defenses, the other player doesnt have that much but the amount he is loosing by attacking my friend is alot more than he gains by raiding

What the heck?

I had four fleets out there with 5 cargo ships and all of a sudden two disappeared, but I didn't get a message back that they were destroyed?!

EDIT: They disappeared after I sent a probe to the planet they were going to be attacking. ETA was just under an hour

If you've got a USB key (i presume you have lol ) get firefox portable from http://www.portableapps.com

you can just run it from the USB key, on any pc you want. Useful if maybe you don't have admin rights or whatever. That site is going to be awesome once they get some more applications on there. I'm running firefox from a usb right now. no reason though, just though I'd test it out.

Ok, ive just checked out my solar system. 1:88. Its got like 7 people who are all better than me, two other newbs.

My question: If i get attacked can you guys send help? This wont happen for ages until my newb protection is off, but is it possible to aid my planet if its under attack?

Thanks for the help but I was trying to access the site on my phone (Can only get to the main page). Proxy here blocking out gaming sites.

From what I've read in previous posts, your best bet is to spend as much of your resources you can and cancel production if the attacker leaves in time. We can only help by sending a fleet to attack the attackers home planet in an attempt to make him retreat.

Awsome! Ill help you guys too when i get ships etc. I have 5 points but im already plotting the doom of a planet thats apparently 22 mins away from mine. Hes a newb too

Has anyone actually been attacked yet? I havent read the entire thread, but the parts i have read dont have anything about anyone coming under attack. Is it because they fear an alliance with 100 members? or just luck?

Not many have been attacked but at least 2 people in this thread. I think I would be scared of attacking someone in an alliance with so many members.
