I did a little searching on the forum and it looks like the combining fleets stuff might be for universe 5 only? That info is like a month old though, so it might have been implemented elsewhere since then.

Remember that inactive guy I posted a day or so ago at 2:133:6 who had a ton of resources stacked up and 90 missile launchers defending?

Just took a look today and someone nearly cleaned him out. 17 missile launchers left, bunch of debris in orbit, and the resources are almost cleaned out

Digging around a bit more it seems quite clear that the alliance combining fleet stuff isn't implemented in Universe 13.

There's a whole ACS area (Alliance Combat System)
This thread is stickied and looks to give us no info on when and if it will be implemented for other universes, just that it is being tested and isn't ready for the other universes yet.

Where are you in your system? Closer to 1 the better for satellites. Haven't built any myself but i've seen people close to their star with TONS of them, so i'd say they are worth it.

I'd say that's too far to make it worthwhile, but what do I know, i haven't tried it (i'm in position 10)

yosuke - do planetary defenses take the brunt of an attack or will solar satellites be destroyed despite defenses firing at the invading fleet?

It depends. Just use SpeedSim to simulate some imaginary attacks. I think they get destroyed pretty easily because everyone has rapid fire against them.

I'm also playing on universe 14 with three friends... and one of them is being attacked by a power powerful player in an alliance bigger than us 4

what possibilities do we have?

vacation mode!!!

heh all you can do really is just keep fleetsaving to make their attacks as unprofitable as possible. meanwhile keep building up your fleets and maybe counter attack during any opportunities that may arise...

I don't think we can combine... some universes have it but those are intense... like it would be very hard for any beginners to advance there.

you cant go in vacation mode once someone hits the attack button, you have to wait for the attack to get over with :)

noobish question on galaxy screen, but couldn't find an answer on the forums.

I see name (activity) column, and the * means someone has done something there recently right?

now, in the player (status) column, there is I for inactive (I assume, no one is inactive in mine). What do the others mean? V for vacation, W for ??? s for ????
