white rice is more popular because it tastes worlds better, a Teriyaki Chicken Bowl's one of the greatest meals on the planet. And you almost never see one made with brown rice, there's a reason for that.

I'll give you a hint: it's because one's better than the other, clearly better.

For me it's not a price issue, if white rice was 10x the price of brown I'd still only buy it. I cannot stand brown rice, YUCK!

agree. white rice just taste so much better.

I just ate some brown rice sushi. Wasn't too bad. Nutty taste.

I've started using Texmati at home...they have a blend of brown rice and basmati which is really awesome.

i only eat rice if i have sweet n sour sauce to put on it. rice also makes for an ok filler, but i get mad when i eat out and see it used as a filler cause i know my $16 +/- dollar meal has too much crap .32 flavorless rice used to pad up my meal.
i don't roll that yo

The only time I like brown rice is when I make it in my rice cooker. For some reason, that makes it much more edible. Also, I've started adding chicken broth instead of water when I make it...adds more flavor.

Usually it's too chewy, if you cook it another way.

I like white rice over brown. I am an Irish/Czech mix. My wife is Japanese so rice is a big part of our diet.

She would often cook me a great meal and then make a pot of white rice and mix in some Nori (sea weed) and a little bit of tofu or meat and be satisfied. I have told her I could eat the same stuff (I am not a foodie...I rarely eat dessert even when it's offered).

I just want a little more protein loading than she does, and I am happy.

Brown rice is indeed more healthy, but neither of us like the taste.
