Um, why are you even considering a used Honda Accord? When I bought my 2004 LX I had the option of buying a 2004 EX for about $20.5K before TT&L. That was before haggling or anything, don't know if you're good at that. You could probably snatch up a leftover 04 coupe for under $20, or a 05 for right around $20. Honda or not, I wouldn't want to buy it without having at least some warranty on it.

Get a brand new Accord. no point gettind used, since they don't depreciate that much.

Yeah that.

It doesn't make much sense to buy 1-2 year old Hondas used. They're worth too much used, they're relatively inexpensive new and new car financing is usually better than used. Auto I4 LX accords go for 18K. Edmunds shows an EX 5M accord goes for just under 20K.

The current gen accords make more power than 2000 A4 1.8Ts, parts are cheaper/easier to find, slightly better gas mileage, more power/torque and bigger/roomier.

Just test drove the Audi.

What a beautiful looking car!

But other than the looks, I was very unimpressed.

- Too small
- Ride was not very smooth
- Handling was below expectations
- Not very much power

This and all the reliable issues add up to an easy decision for me.

Now to find a nice 2003-2005 Accord...

That makes little sense; poor ride quality and handling? Heh. At any rate I think the 7th gen Accord interior is simply amazing.

Broke down and bought a 2005 Coupe EX V6 6-speed manual transmission in Eternal Blue.

Wow, I love everything about it, especially the interior.

Simply amazing how I can't find a single flaw in the car.

Car also hauls some serious ass. 0-60 in 5.9 seconds from a stock Accord is not too shabby.

It's gonna suck when that first payment comes around on March 23rd.
