Broke down, bought a Honda!!!

Assuming the previous owner of the Audi drove normal miles you can say it has about 50K miles on it.

If you are planning to drive 25K miles a year in 2 years the car will have 100K miles. That is a whole lotta miles for a German car. My BMW started falling apart around 75K miles so unless you have alot of cash set aside to fix up your car in the likely chance something breaks, I would stay away from the Audi.

<< 1999 A4 Owner.

Buy the Honda or something else. A 2000 Audi with that many miles will cause a ton of problem in the future. Trust me.

Audis need to be maintained properly and they will work well. Frankly I have yet to see any of the Audi's in my family have any serious problems but they are all relativly new (2001 A6 Turbo and a 2004 S4). Plus you get a free 4 year free maintainance warranty included with all Audi's free of charge.

Previous gen. Audis (and VWs) have had horrible electric problems but from what I've seen they are improving 🙂

Fast, only problem is its not mine 🙁. Dad has the A6 and older brother has an S4. I'm stuck with a nice toyota corolla... but that might be chaging soon 😛

The A4 would be nice but I don't think I'd use it as a daily driver, it'd be like a weekend fun car for me. If you'll be driving that much I would say definitely go with the honda.

How long do you want to keep this car?

If it's not long, get the Audi

If you want to keep more than a few years, I'd go with the Honda. The Audi will cost more in upkeep after the warranty is over so keep that in mind.

Have you considered a Mazda 3?

Um, why are you even considering a used Honda Accord? When I bought my 2004 LX I had the option of buying a 2004 EX for about $20.5K before TT&L. That was before haggling or anything, don't know if you're good at that. You could probably snatch up a leftover 04 coupe for under $20, or a 05 for right around $20. Honda or not, I wouldn't want to buy it without having at least some warranty on it.

If I was going to spend more than 15K on a Car, it would not be an A4 or a Honda, however, If I was forced to choose between those two cars, I would go with the Honda,. (as long as it's the 3.0 with leather.)

the audi is a cooler car, but a cool car doesn't do you much good when it spends most of it's time in the shop. and a 2003 Accord EX will still be a pretty nice car.

I'm thinking I should definitely go with the Accord.

Anyone know how to go about getting a brand new 2004 model Accord?

I am 23 years old and drive about 25000 miles per year.

Either car would be manual transmission.

Vote and then post why.

Thanks,
Travis

if you want your car to last, get a Honda
