im gonna have to agree with that quote.

Tice made the decision after putting Lesnar through strenuous 45-minute workout this morning. Tice said Lesnar, who hasn't played football since high school

6'3 and 286 seems a bit undersized for a NFL DT.
maybe as a DE. I doubt he makes it out of camp.

My question is why is he doing this? He's already making millions with the WWE and is one of the top stars. He'll probably be nothing but a bench warmer with the Vikes.

Actually, he will warm the bench warmers behinds. 🙂

Because he - like many other people - would love to play in the NFL. In WWE, the winners are predetermined. Any guy who 'roids up... I mean, who works out like him has got to love competition. Winning because McMahon says you win isn't as good as winning because you punished the other team.

F5! F5!

Even though he's "only" 6-foot-3, 286 pounds, it's all muscle. The guy is an animal! and he's fast and agile.

He reminds me of Brian Boswick with the Seahawks. He won't last the season if he starts. They'll key on him and kill him because he thinks he's such a bad dude.

You guys are nuts if you think the Vikings have signed him to compete for a roster spot. Hes a project, as all NFL scouts have said, and he will likely be given a spot on the practice squad until they decide to add him to the roster or cut him loose.

If he gets on the practice squad he probably wont play until next year, and only if hes progressed enough. Except for if the Vikings get short on defensive linemen.

Unless he plays spectaculer in training camp he wont make the roster, but its a pretty safe bet he'll make the practice squad.

from what i heard, he was upset with the wwe for putting him up in meaningless matches. he had to job to the the undertaker too many times, and feud with mid-carders, and so on.

He also got tired of the 260+ days on the road.

I would agree with some of that. There is just no way a guy can come into the NFL and expect to play right away if he hasn't played since high school. I don't care how big, strong, and fast you are, you still have to learn the techniques and the schemes. I would love to see him make it (I'm a Vikings fan) though. I think they'll work with him and see how he does. He definitely has the power and the athleticism to make it though.

Bosworth.

Well, the Vikings had to see something in him to sign him. He is undersized IMO to be a true run-stopping DT, but he is about the right size for a good combination passrushing/run stopping DT. He is very powerful...

Maybe as a DE? Maybe? Maybe you should take a look at the good DEs out there:

Grant Wistrom - 6'4", 272
Jason Taylor - 6'6", 260
Adewale Oguleye - 6'4", 255
Simeon Rice - 6'5", 268
Julius Peppers - 6'6", 283
Mike Rucker - 6'5", 275
Michael Strahan - 6'5", 275
Keith Washington - 6'4", 275
Leonard Little - 6'3", 261
Jevon Kearse - 6'4", 265

Brock Lesnar - 6'3", 286 (was 290 in the old ESPN article), 4.7 40-yd.

His 40-time isn't incredible, but it's good enough for a DE. He has all the gifts, he just needs experience. If nothing else, it's fun to watch, eh?

He'd have to put on some fat if he wanted to be a DT. You have to be a big, blubbering fatso to play DT, otherwise the O-lineman will be able to move you around.

Bosworth.

If he would of lasted longer I might of remembered his last name.

Lesnar is still going to get killed.

Keith Washington is a DT. I agree that he CAN be a good DE but he has to have alot of experience learning football. One thing that HBO show on the Cowboys show me is that they study alot of film and work on plays all the time.

No, Ted Washington is a DT, Keith Washington is a DE. And Ted Washington weighs 365lbs, so he's CLEARLY not a DE.

yep, you're right. I was thinking of when keith traylor and ted washington used to play together for the bears.

Man, some of the guys listed here are scary big. I'm almost afraid to ask, but... what are some stats on Noseguards. (Dunno if that's a regional term. Y'know, the guy who stands in front of the QB and stops two guys at once.)
