made the mistake of moving in with a guy before realizing broadband was not available in the area. I did it it once, I will NEVER make that mistake again.

I couldn't go back to it, no. Well, technically, we never had 56K. We went from 33.6 to cable several years ago. I've got the LAN at school, which is good most of the time, but I think my Roadrunner at home is faster on the whole, so no matter where I am now, I've got high-speed access. I'd be very hard-pressed to use dial-up.

To be honest....I don't know...but when I think about it deeply, most of the things I do on broadband isn't really important...ie gaming with 50 ping and loading webpages in 3 seconds, etc...its nice, but not a must.

I would have to be dragged, kicking and screaming... not to mention threatened with a very painful death. And then, I might consider it.

:p

I've had broadband for 15years now... Every time i've moved (4-5 times), I've verified that I could get broadband at the new place. We finally got a house last year, and I verified I would be able to get FIOS before moving, its awesome. 42Meg down, 30meg up...
