Can't rip him too hard, but that had no confidence behind it. 4 hole playoff to come ... damn ... going to have to deal with the wife now 😛

these announcers have been wrong all day.

Bad putt on 18 by Watson, who has been putting really well the whole tournament (though early on today he was not aggressive enough either). Was really hoping he would make it, no one gave him any chance at all on Friday.

I've got to say ... I couldn't be happier if Watson won ... but Stewart Cink is one of the nicest guys out there, and it would be pretty sweet for his career as well. Plus, he's playing the irons I just bought (same ones Glover used to win the US Open).

A brilliant way to spend a Sunday morning.

Nah, he just hit the crap out of that 8 iron, if it lands where he would normally hit an 8 it's over. Now I'd have to give cink the edge here as Tom's putter is getting balky, that was a poor putt for the win. Regardless, what he did today is just amazing..

I saw him decelerate on his putting stroke, that's just nerves.

Interesting about Cink's little scorecard flap ... when replacing on 17, apparently he bumped his ball, and was concerned about being penalized. I'm so glad it was deemed to be in the act of replacing the ball, and so there was no penalty. That would be soul destroying otherwise.

This is one of those moments where I truly don't care who wins ... still pulling for Watson ... but I'm just enjoying every second.

Tom Watson to tee off first on #5.

God, I wish I could reach a 474 green in two after teeing off with an iron 🙂 And I'm no short hitter 🙂

This brings back the memories of the Sergio-Padraig playoff I watched in person. So much drama, the feeling in the grandstands around 18 was absolutely electric. I damn near shite myself when Sergio hit the pin on 16 in the playoff.

Simple 1i, 1i

🙂

I've got no 1 iron ... but I do have a 2-iron in the mail right now on its way to me ... should be a nice addition to my bag since I do tee off with irons regularly due to my horrid driver form recently. Recently as in the last 5 years 😛

Couple of sand shots to come ... with interesting stances?

edit: wow ... we'll have to see how imaginative they can get. Tom's got about 5 feet of lip in his face, and Cink might have a bit of a dodgy stance? Seems OK...

BBC coverage just referred to Cink as a 'feeding giraffe' 😀

edit: in terms of his bunker stance
