Go to any gastropub and get fish and chips. Or go to any Wisconsin "supper club" on Friday for their fish fry.

Just about any dive bar, small restaurant or church social across that upper midwest rustbelt. Fried fish as far as the eye can see.

Seems like most foods like that are supplied to restaurants by companies like Sysco or US Foods. Most of that stuff is fairly mediocre but is usually acceptable if cooked properly. If a deep-fried item is really bad, it's usually due to low oil temps or rancid oil.

The "countries" in EPCOT aren't exactly amazing culinary representations of the real life places. Though by like the third one you're so drunk that you don't care.

English food isn't all that great to begin with. Then by the time EPCOT bastardizes/Americanizes it, you're probably a million miles from good.

Disneyanything food was never memorable.
We had good fish and chips in the UK because we had locals who took us to a specific pub. I'm sure we could get crappy ones just around the corner. Just like I can get some godawful teriyaki from the closest place to my house.
