I bring my own beer to the theater!
Yeah! That stuff they sell in the theaters tastes like Coke!

Actually I was thinking of using my rectum. I bet I could fit like 30 Mike & Ikes up there, and I can pop one out whenever I get hungry... like an upside down Pez dispenser.
You must have never been around kids. They don't just want to be there opening weekend, they want to be at the very first showing of the very first show in the entire city.Well there's your problem, the idea of taking kids to movies is absolutely ridiculous. You think your six year old cares if they have to wait an extra couple months to see Toy Story 10 on DVD?
Besides...who the eff can eat a jumbo popcorn AND gets it refilled in the same movie besides the morbidly obese?
Anyone ever see a sign posted at the movie theater that says you CANNOT bring in your own food/drink? I haven't.

When I go to a movie it's with my wife or dad, brother etc. Six bucks for a jumbo popcorn (w/free refill) and a buck and a half for the giant refillable cup they sell. OH NOES $7.50 AND I COULD BUY IT AT WALMART FOR A DOLLAR WHATARIPOFF!! RAGERAGERAGE!!!11!!!

the local minor league team's advertise it. they don't care just as long as people come heh.
also the minor league teams are much more fun to watch.
Yeah mik and ikes would work well, junior mints would be messy...
you're allowed to bring your own food in to Phillies games....we usually stop and get a few hoagies at a deli before we go to games... drinks are allowed too, as long as they're sealed

I usually don't eat at movies...they're not that long. I can go that long without eating I'm not going to die.
There's a reason why the sign says "please" before "no outside food and drinks." basically, there is no law supporting their " right" to deny you with your food and drink. I would just say I had a strange food allergy that they could not service if they dared to say anything.

You're partially right. They could disallow all food, but they don't. By allowing food but only what they sell, they would be discriminating against Americans with disabilities. Food is a necessity that would be hard to argue in court especially without an explicit contract. You are kidding right? It's a private establishment, they can set rules like that. Don't like it, don't go.

Regardless, the signs I've seen say "please," so it is a request and not a contractual term.
The only thing we buy in the theater is popcorn....candy and sodas are in wife's purse. Done this for years as have lots of others....nothing new.
