Ford were the bright people who decided to underinflate tires from the factory and recommend a PSI for them that was way too low.
If you havent asked your mechanic lately, any tired underinflated is dangerous.
Why did ford underinflate them? To increase the theoretical towing capacity of the stupid explorer.
Let the truth be told.
Had the tires been properly inflated, there would not have been a problem except that the explorer would have had a lower towing capacity than its competitors.
And a tire blowout does not cause rollovers as stated above...
American media can be so blind and biased at times.
