hm in the hd trailers the beams of light shooting in from the top scenes look 16 bit...bad compression? or just my system, the rest of the normal scenes look fine😛

Trailers for this movie are shi!t.

Everything to do with the whole Narnia-esque fantasy took away from the original story, so i wasn't happy with that, but the rest of the movie was just too good i didn't mind as much as i woulda normally.

They actually made a movie of this years and years ago (1985) with Annette O'Toole and it was terrible. It was made for PBS and was only an hour long. The book is short, so it makes sense I guess. I have yet to see the new one, but I'd like to.

so i finally watch it...

spoilers........

so its just a loser kid losing his little girlfriend?
the trailers made it out to be like narnia😛

Yeah, it IMO it is one of those movies that doesnt live up to the hype. I thought it was like a B- C+ film. I would never watch it again.

Haven't read the book, just read the wiki about it and then watched the trailer, hahaha, not related at all.

I'm glad to hear the movie is more true to the story.
