As a recent father of a daughter, I can appreciate the sentiment! That said, this is just one example of political advertising that many would find offensive, but in the age of Trump it barely registers on my offense-o-meter. Congratulations to anyone waging a war on "political correctness"--you won!

Now we on the left can focus on the real issues and not "so and so said something SOOO offensive! How can he say that??!!"
 
This is a shout out to traditional paternal authoritarianism, an endangered species as a result of liberal cultural evolution, where respect for the father is not automatically extended but must be earned. People who hate themselves can't handle the notion of loss of anything, much less take on the responsibility required to earn anything. This inner sense of entitlement and the self hate it is based on is why conservatives hate anybody else who feels entitled to anything. It looks like stealing to them. There is only so much entitlement to go around and the greater the insecurity the tighter the grip, is how they think and react.

Also, why is it that so many of these gun nut political candidates don't have even a rudimentary understanding of firearm safety? Absolute rule #1 is always always always treat a gun as if it is loaded. Rule #2 is don't point a gun at anything unless you intend to kill it. He's pointing a gun at a fucking child.

The exceptionally authoritative are exempt from the rules do to their exceptional mastery of them. They are entitled by virtue.

Watch it again. He never points the gun at a child, it isn't loaded and his finger isn't anywhere near the trigger.

It's a cheesy ad but it will appeal to a certain demographic and piss off all the libruhls.

It appeals to people who think their daughters are chattle, to be given away, instead of individuals capable of making their own choices.

And doing stuff only for the sake of pissing people off is called being an asshole.

He definitely points it towards him, it’s irrelevant if it’s loaded and it’s irrelevant if his finger is near the trigger.

The gun isn't pointed at him, once again the left lies for their agenda. This ad was designed to piss off the liberals and its working, it would be nice if they were this upset about all the wasteful spending.
