I breathe through both at the same time. If my nose is stuffed, i have trouble breathing, if my lips are closed, i have trouble breathing.

If I try to breathe solely through my nose, i get chuffing sound (kinda like when your subwoofer's port is too small for the amount of air being moved through it).

Get much more air through my mouth. I guess I have narrow nasal passages as well. I try to use my nose most of the time but the rejuvinating breath comes from the mouth.

Nose. Filters + no sore throat. Sinus troubles make me resort to mouth-breathing many times a day, though.

I HATE that...happened to me when I read your post.

People that breathe through their mouths while sleeping may wake up with a surprise! :Q

Nose. The air gets filtered better but in lesser quantities.

Mouth. More air, less filtration.

I prefer nose unless my allergies are acting up or I'm working out.
