Again, if you read my posts you would come to the conslusion that I see breastfeeding as a natural thing and I am all for it 100%. In addition I support public sex, urination, masturbation, nudity and other things which are completely natural to human beings but have been wrongly demonized. As long as everything is fair and balanced and there is no discrimination towards those of us who choose a different lifestyle (to not have children). Why do you hate me for that? Hate is wrong!

If you were to STARE at a breastfeeding woman, all you would see is the skin of her breast, i have NO idea how any of the comparisons you made has any correlation to that.

It relates in that both are of at LEAST equal level to natural human events. You claim, like I do, that breast feeding is natural. My argument is that (when being non-descriminatory) you are either for or against all of them. I don't see how anyone can differentiate one activity from the other and say it is more acceptable because that would be DESCRIMINATION against us in the minority which is WRONG.
Baring a breast, whether it is for feeding a newborn/baby/toddler/child should not be discriminated from simply going topless for comfort. Different but equal is still not equal.

First of all, just so you understand this, there is a difference between feeding a newborn and baring your breast for no reason, if you don't get that i pity you (and comparing feeding your newborn to masturbating in public is just stupid). Secondly, i don't mind if anyone bares her breasts, they are, after all only breasts, i have seen plenty and i doubt that anyone will actually be shocked by the sight of them. OTOH i don't get anything that the puritans subscribe to so that might be it.

As for my follow up comment that was analagous to the freedoms which I am lobbying for (in an all or nothing manner). It wasn't a comparison outside of being similar to breast feeding in that both are natural human phenomenon.

With urination there is a smell issue and a health issue. I grew up in the Philippines and it was not uncommon for people to urinate in public.
I label myself a conservative but see nothing wrong with public breastfeeding. I think it would be wise for the breastfeeding mother to try to be discrete as possible just because you have too many people running around who are offened by it. Each side can give a little. Breast feeding is a natural thing. So is a baby's hunger. A mother has to feed her child and if there is no discrete way to do it then people will just have to stop staring.
I just wanted to pop in and say Yay for breastfeeding. It boggles my mind that anyone would have a problem with it.

I feel kinda funny answering a pre-teen regarding things that my ex-wife did before they were born, so can it you puritan little horny idiot, you see, this isn't about you getting a hard on everytime you see female breast skin, this is about a baby being fed.

Somewhere along the line, the idea that breast feeding was for poor people took hold, and formula became popular. Never mind the fact that breast feeding is the best thing you can do for your children's health and intelligence... the modern thing to do was buy something that was marketed as 'superior'! Hah! Fortunately for me, my own mother never bought into that, and she nursed all of us, even when breastfeeding was very out of vogue. Her mother breast fed her, and her mother before her breastfed... and as my mom puts it, WE ARE MAMMALS, DARN IT! :laugh:
Then of course, the sexualization of the breast was able to overshadow the TRUE reason women have breasts. Breasts are for feeding babies. If men like them, well that's not moms and babies fault, and something as healthy and right as breastfeeding should never be equated with a man's disturbed reaction to what he sees.
I have friends who didn't breast feed because they just couldn't deal with it. They felt like breasts were for their husbands and were afraid that they would get 'ruined'. And yet I'm the one who still has firm orbs after nursing 3... go figure. Maybe it's because it is just as good for mom as it is for baby... women who breast feed reduce their risk of breast cancer.
