Not really sure if a developing thread on children being murdered is the place for jokes... but hey, you feel free to keep going

OK, I admit it's too soon. But we'll see the real joke appear when we find out this person was a "legal" gunholder.

There need to be stricter gun laws, and maybe finally it will take a tragedy like this to show that many legal carriers can NOT be trusted.

This is so fucked up. Some lady said a witness inside said "at least" 100 shots were fired. They said two handguns were used (SIG, Glock). Thats crazy if true...means there would be approx. 7 magazine changes (assuming about 15 rounds per magazine).

Poor kids. 🙁 RIP.

But she heard, "bangety, bangety, bang!", that must have been at least 100 shots fired!!
This site has a witness saying she heard 10-12 shots. She was across the street.

Legal carriers should be trusted a hell of a lot more than criminals. When you figure out a gun law that doesn't hamper law-abiding citizens, you let us know.

Until then STFU.

not to diminish the severity, but I think the quote is that a witness said that ” there must have been more than 100 shots”. Take home message is that there were a lot of shots fired qualitatively.

Psych dead, principle dead, vice principle injured at least three kids confirmed hospitalized along with a couple teachers. Other reports say several fatalities 🙁

Ya, that would be quite the "joke." Are you simply incapable of turning off the troll switch when you post on these forums? Seriously, not every single post needs to be designed to get people's attention.

I shall also await this miracle law that will finally disarm the criminals without encroaching upon my 2A rights.

Oh look, schools are Gun Free Zones, why won't they just follow those laws! Oh right, because they don't give a shit.

Update 12:47 pm: More than 20 people, most of them young children, killed in shooting, according to law enforcement sources.

They're doing car to car searches now...

WTF!!! CBS News saying 27 dead 🙁

I'm sitting here feeding my 7 month old son and I have tears in my eyes 🙁

QUESTION:

Would there be any merit to Obama doing a national talk and extended a heartfelt, emotional appeal to "anyone out there who is considering actions like this" and offering counseling, some sort of help... even outright begging them not to do it?

IMO, it's worth a try.

I just heard more than 20 dead, 10 children. This is so bad. Stronger gun laws are not needed. Stronger enforcement of current gun laws is needed. What good is a gun free zone without that zone bring enforced (albeit at great cost) consistently and constantly. Otherwise that law is shit.

Doubtful. Anyone crazy enough to do something like this isn't going to be swayed by a talking to by "the man"
