Bleh. I haven't found one Asian philosopher that has interested me. And I appreciate all cultures. I've found many interesting German, Indian, British, Italian, French, Russian philosophers but really I mean all Asia's got is Confucius. I think in rote schoolbook stuff Asians have an advantage but in abstract thought Europe and India are much more advanced.Originally posted by: Shlong

Interestingly enough while looking up IQ average on google I came across this racist propoganda by christian party? http://christianparty.net/iq.htm
Of course not, you criticize anything east asian. As if you have an agenda to put it down? As for Philosophers, Chuang Tzu? Lao Tzu, author of the Tao Te Ching? Sun Tzu, Art of War (many strategies used today). Mencius, Mou Zong-san, Wang Yangming, Tsong-kha-pa, Chu Hsi, Kukai, etc.
As for those philophers most if not all have to do with Confucianism and Neo-Confucianism. Find something new already.
Who is Tsong-Kha-spa? I assume you are talking about the great Je Tsongkhapa, the TIBETAN buddhist philosopher. His philosophies are much more in line with Indian thought. Gautam Buddha himself predicted his coming in the 14th century during his meditations in Bihar.
To speak the truth you say? Your opinions, but it seems like you like to concentrate on speaking the truth only when it comes to far eastern culture. Why not speak the truth on a broader scale than concentrate on solely this? Anyways, Confucianism and Neo-Confucianism? Much like a lot of Indian philosophy also have to do with Hinduism? Find something new as well? Or is there more to it? Enlighten me, pun intended.
