Breaking- Church shooting in TX

The comments by supposed "experts" on TV disturb me; "It's especially sad because in this small town everybody knew each other." So Vegas was less sad?

"The president is being briefed." Whew. I feel better.
5% of the towns population was killed in that shooting. Another 5 injured. Basically if you live there you lost a family member, close friend or next door neighbour, statistically speaking.

Trump to speak shortly. Wonder how his comments will compare to his comments after the New York incident. How decisive for action he will feel the country needs to be.

Really shocked there wasn't a good guy with a gun to stop this in Texas of all places.

Also, do you guys know how many people have died of second hand smoke since the shooting?

Actually someone tried. A resident grabbed his rifle and engaged the shooter it was reported. That caused him to drop his rifle and take off in the car.

Based on all the articles I've read so far:

- Only his previous employer is listed (USAF; court-martialed in 2014)
- briefly taught bible study
- one of his photos shows him with a kid; another article mentioned he was married (unsure if that means he was still married at time of death or he was divorced)
- his residence was not the city where he shot up the parishioners (Sutherland Springs, TX)
- his mother-in-law lived in Sutherland Springs

Until there are more details, I speculate:
- he was currently unemployed or otherwise barely employed
- probably had a falling-out with wife (baby mama) and/or in-laws, who likely thought (like I do) that this guy was a low-life, especially if he indeed had kid(s), and couldn't/wouldn't provide for them
