I've noticed quite a bit of prolonged silences in this series as compared to other shows. I'm not sure if the others have too much dialogue or this is how things are supposed to be (wrt to tv scripts). You know, simple dialogue, only say as much as NEEDS to be said, etc.

Been watching this show and almost done w/ season two. The pacing is realy weird. Like nothing happens for the first 40 minutes then a lot happens in the last 20.

Plus Walt is just the most annoying character ever. If he gets any more emo he should go on tour w/ fallout boy

Bump. Season 3 starts on the 21st, or this sunday I believe.

They have some nice folks. I got a cap from them for some comment I made in season 2.

Yep, this Sunday. "The Pacific" at 8pm and "Breaking Bad" at 9pm (for me). That's one hell of a two hour block of TV. 😀

Doing my happy dance for the return of one of the best series on TV.

There are two hours of Life Sunday as well. After how good Planet Earth was I have really high hopes for Life, I know that Breaking Bad is awesome, and The Pacific has started off really well too. Sunday nights are currently the best night for TV.

Hell yeah...I'll have to watch the re-airs of Life though because they are on the same time as the other two shows. Can't record a different channel than we watch right now because of some issue with either the DVR or coax cable (waiting on BBC modules from DirecTV) so have to figure out what to watch and when. lol

Anyway, Breaking Bad starts tonight! FYI!

I watched the first season yesterday. Currently watching epsiode 7 of the second season.

Very good show.

Honestly I heard a brief synopsis and it didn't sound that interesting to me but with all these recommendation maybe I'll give it a go...

What did you guys think of the Season 3 opener?

I thought it was brilliant, personally

except for the 2 hit men seemed to be a bit overdone.

Wow, another killer episode... The first few minutes never fail to blow me away.

Whats the back story of the 2 Mexicans coming across the border? I must have missed the episode where they were introduced...

^^^ I think the Mexicans are going to avenge Tuco's death... but I might be wrong... either way they want to kill Heisenberg for cutting into their meth business

I'm pretty sure it's to avenge Tuco. It's similar to how last season they had the floating stuffed animal in every episode, but you never knew what it really was until the last episode. I don't know if they'll wait till the last episode to full introduce these guys though.

Thought the premiere was badass though. 😀 When he tells Hank that the bag had 500k in cash...and Hank just laughs. hahaha.

No background on them yet. They're either looking for revenge on Tuco, they're hitmen for a rival drug kingpin who wants to find and eliminate the mysterious Heisenberg, maybe they're looking to hire Heisenberg to work for them. I get the feeling that it will be several episodes until we get a handle on that. They'll probably just be ominously moving in the right direction for a while so the tension builds.

Great season opener!

One of my favorite minor characters is the clueless, kleptomaniac, narcissist, nutz-o-phonic sister-in-law, the wife of DEA Hank.

Who wouldn't want to punch her (character) right in the mouth once, or perhaps, twice? 😉
