Wow, things just got a whole lot more complicated. What the hell happens with Gus now? He needs Walt to cook, but he can't let this slide. Or can he? The two dealers whacked the kid, if that was done without approval I guess Gus can look the other way on it.

You are assuming the two dealers did in fact whacked the kid.
There was some reference to the cartel so it is possible that the cartel is moving into that region trying to take out Gus.

It definitely seemed like the two thugs were anticipating and waiting for Pinkman to try to take them out. Of course if someone else did kill the kid the two would probably realize that Pinkman would still assume that they (the two guys) did it.

Since the episode was about half-measures, though, I think the ending was meant to show that Gus' half-measure of "kiss and make up" failed.

Wow. Was out last night so just caught up with the last episode, and woah, all hell has broken loose!

Walt definitely took the chat with the P.I. to heart and went full-measure to save Jesse.

Can't wait to see how they end the season.

Oh look, it's the biggest retard on ATOT.

I watch TV on my computer, which *GASP* supports resolutions above 1080p.
Or *gasp* the video scaling hardware+software on your computer just so happens to be significantly more sophisticated than the upscaling chip that is integrated into your TV. There is a reason why some videophiles use HTPCs in order to watch DVDs on their HDTVs, because the video scaling done by a PC can be significantly better than a set-top box or what is already included with the TV. But you obviously don't know that because if you did, maybe you wouldn't have bothered with your retarded post.

That episode was good - definitely a welcome change from the rest of this mediocre season.

You can't have episodes like the one we just experienced every episode because then the series would get retarded. Every episode in the series has a purpose and it helps develop the characters. I didn't find any of the episodes difficult to watch so I think it's just you.

My wife thought that maybe the kid ate the hamburger(s). But there seemed to be at least 41 evidence tags on the ground which would imply shell casings. Lots of them.

The reporter did say it was a gang style execution...

I am going with the cartel and I think Walt will try and put his killings onto the cartel.

A war with the cartel would weaken Gus and further his apparent goal of taking over.

You guys really think Walt is going to try and kill Gus? What is the significance of them replaying that line "I know I owe you my life" before EP12? If Walt has shown this kind of loyalty to Pinkman, I don't think there's any way he goes Benedict on Gus.

It just doesn't make any sense. Walt begged Gus to let him cook for him against his better judgment. Gus took him in, saved his life, invited him into his home for dinner and offered financial advice to Walt. Now just because Walt has a million or two in his bank account, he's ready to take on Gus' empire that he's been running for 20 years? Yea right.

PS. Also, Pinkman's not dying. The whole point of the show is to show the drug game from 2 sides - the family man and the street kid. It's a formula that's worked and I don't see them changing it.

You mean the cartel who last we heard from was having one of their kingpin's houses broken into and fired upon while Gus was on the phone with him? Na, I don't think they can be included in the equation at this point, besides the previews for the finale have Walt saying he "intervened" after Gus asks him to "explain himself". Now the episode could zig instead of zag as someone else put it based on the previews much like last Sunday's episode did, but I have little doubt there will be a confrontation with Gus over this and Walt will come clean to him. After that is anybody's guess.

Was just comparing this show to Dexter the other night - I'm *GLAD* Breaking Bad takes time to pause, instead of making every episode a race. You know how Dexter became Dexter vs. a mega- Serial Killer EVERY season? Breaking Bad actually keeps you in the dark and suprises you, while building a deeper storyline too. Characters grows, changes of heart occur, but it's all consistent. LOVE IT..

In my mind, its "walt is a pussy, doesn't know what hes doing, he falling apart, chasing fucking flies, falling off railings, lying to gus who obviously knows he is lying" and then all of a sudden, "oh wait, forget all that, walt just capped a dude in the head"

I pick dexter over breaking bad 8 times out of 10
