I love this show but it needs to go and it's good that it will soon.

Walter White has become too much of a caracature of a typical drug ring operation leader. It's no longer about slowly losing perspective as much as having a completely different perspective and personality, which is so far off from the original foundation that made the show a hit.

The irony that the operation has gotten too dirty for the original thug, Jesse, but not for Walter is cute but predictable and an over the top conflict imo that doesn't do much for me.

Not that I'll sit this season out. 😛

Walt will probably sell them fake methylamine and then to make them think the blue meth is off the market, change the formula so that the meth is no longer blue.

If I were Walt, I'd somehow use my DEA connections (Hank) and point my fingers at the Arizona dealers during the methylamine sale.

I think his competitors would still have a problem when 99% pure purple crystal meth shows up on the market. 😉

walt is def up to something as there is no way after his "Empire" BS that he will be cooking for someone else

i'm going to guess this is a part of his plan.

DEA finds bugs from internal sweep and laptop with some planted Arizona rival info. Or Hank & Walt have some heart to heart and Walt pushes the conversation to some problem Hank's having at work and plants the idea of another group. Walt gets Mike to offer Heisenberg + his 333 gallons methylamine at the next meeting. Jesse & Mike get paid their 10 million. Arizona crew gets a new cook/slave & 1000 gallons methylamine. At some point DEA brings in the Arizona crew before they can put Walt to work. Somewhere the M60 comes in :awe:

or something

there is no way it was 10 million. 1 55 gal drum was enough to make several million $ worth of meth. They have 1000 gallons

its not 10 mil its 100 mil

The methlamine is enough to make 300 million worth of meth. Thats why he wont take 5mil

I think OP means how will Walt get the $10 million for Jesse and Mike (remember, their share to sell is estimated at $5 million each). He did promise them they will each get their money and he keeps the meth.

The song Walter was whistling when he went back to work in their makeshift lab for those that didn't catch it (I admit I had to look it up myself) was "The Lily of the Valley"... Wonder if Jesse caught on to that. I know he paused for a minute, either for that reason or for simply Walt not caring about the kid dying.

Wasn't the poisonous plant Walt used to make the poison for that kid named "Lily of the Valley"? They flashed to the potted pant with that name on in Walts backyard by the pool at the end of an earlier episode.

ohhhhh ok I see now. Yeah its 10 mil

Hmm, based on this last episode I don't think so. Walt's hubris will no longer allow him to walk away. He's still bitter about Grey Matter, won't take a $5 mil payout, etc.

Bingo. It's the combination of that with the other line about not being in the meth business or the money business, but instead being in the "empire business". That's the end game for Walt now, it was a battle between greed and ego and ego won. He won't walk away for $5 million or $10 million or $50 million. He would rather be a dead kingpin than a live millionaire.

Remember the phone call with Skylar after he blew up Gus? "I won". Walt won't stop until he wins and to him, now, winning would be building an empire bigger than Gray Matter. Nothing less would do. He'll do it or die, but he won't quit.

Saw this on Yahoo's! page. BRILLIANT!

http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/sidesho...th-candy-inspired-breaking-bad-230151212.html

A candy store owner in Albuquerque says her "meth candy" is a major hit. The blue-colored rock candy is intended to play off the successful AMC drama "Breaking Bad," which is set in the same New Mexico city.
"I've been at this for 30 years," Debbie Ball said in an interview with Yahoo! News. "It started in 1982 when some holy-roller types protested me for 'sex-themed' candy shaped like people's parts. It's because of controversy like this that I'm still in business."
And the Candy Lady owner is doing more than just randomly trying to cash in on the show's popularity; her sugary concoction has in fact appeared in the program.
''We supplied the show when it first started,'' Ball tells the Associated Press. ''It's just rock candy with blue dye and it looks like the real thing.''
Ball sells bags of the sugar rock candy for just $1 each, along with shipping and handling costs for orders made over the phone. "Hopefully this will be good for business and good for the show," she told Yahoo! News.
"Breaking Bad" star Bryan Cranston appeared on David Letterman's "Late Show" in July and pulled out a bag of the candy. Since then, Ball says she has sold more than 300 bags.
''The response has been great,'' Ball said. ''I think it's starting to go viral. I'm getting calls from all over the world. I have to make 400 bags before tomorrow morning."

Ball dismisses any criticism that she is attempting to glorify illegal drugs. "I had candy cigarettes when I was a kid," she told Yahoo! News. "And I don't smoke cigarettes now. And I've never sold a single bag of meth candy to a child."
Methamphetamine lab incidents have dropped in New Mexico in recent years. In 2001, only 20 of the nation's 12,033 lab incidents took place in the state, according to DEA statistics, a significant drop from 59 similar incidents in 2010. Still, meth remains a major crime issue in the state, with major shipments arriving from Arizona and California. New Mexico's numbers run counter to national trends, where methamphetamine drug seizures have risen in recent years.
Still, Matt Kennicott, a spokesman for the New Mexico Human Service Department, said meth remains a major issue in New Mexico. ''We need to all be aware of the drug epidemic in this state," he said. ''This is a serious problem we are facing.''

yeah when smoking was accepted as fairly normal. smoking meth might be common nowadays but is it accepted? god i hope not

😀 I find selling candy like this horrible.... however, I think it's geared more towards adults watching Breaking Bad...

\for shit and giggles I'd ask for ID for anyone buying this product...

Since the actual blue meth on the show is this same vendor's rock candy, dyed blue, I find it hard to get to indignant about this. Honestly this seems more benign to me than, say, candy cigarettes. It's not as though there are a ton of impressionable young kids watching Breaking Bad, and God knows the show doesn't glamorize meth. See, e.g., this brilliant montage: http://vimeo.com/20124416

Maybe his watching Scarface with the kids is a hint about how Walt's "Empire" will crumble.
Walt in a gun battle and/or huge explosion would be a fitting end for what he's devolved into.
