10-6 and hell will freeze over, devil will relight the torches 😀

If Shockey stays healthy and Eli is as explosive as people make him out to be then they oughta do fairly well.

Falcons are my team, it all really rests on Vick's easily-injured legs.

Its ok though..College football is all that matters...

What college football is there to mention in NC, other than NC State? (even they aren't that great)

Clemson is only 30 miles or so from the border...

Yaaaaay Offense!

Should be better. Picked up some guy from the Pats on the O-line. Obviously with the draft picks we have a new running back and wide-out. Charles Rogers will be back from injury.

Defense

Well, drafted some guy at linebacker. Picked up another all-pro corner and an old safety.

Special Teams

We still have Jason Hanson. So HA!

Overall

Should be better, who knows how much better though....optimism is sort of tempered living here.

Oh, and I grew up in San Diego and then Cleveland.....now Detroit.....still a Chargers/Browns fan....so last year was ROUGH.

EDIT:

I kind of think this is my all time best post anywhere. No detail or links or actually solid info. 🙂

hehe

With all that offensive help Joey better show his stuff and prove Gary Danielson right when he said, "It may not be with the Lions, but Joey Harrington will win a Superbowl."

Eli is a rookie, end of story. Rarely (if ever) do rookie QB's come in to the NFL and make an immediate impact.

Bengals fan here... of course, I never keep up with them until they actually play, sooo... I guess there isn't anything to talk about. Hopefully they will win more than 8 this year.

Lions fan here as well. I expect good things this year. Obviously not the playoffs but a +500 season is not inconceivable.

Mohrninwheg had started to try and move the team to West Coast Offense because that is what he know. He was still fumbling around with his QB's when he got sh\tcanned. The mooch has been doing a great job of migrating the team. It's hard when you have a very old team(the ages of players and length of time with the lions) that was setup around Barry Sanders. That was the detroit offense and the team was built around it.

If the new RB performs and we have a decent run game we should do well. Harrington should settle into his role this year and he now has some people to throw too. The offensive line is starting to come together as well to protect Joey.

The Lions defense isn't that bad. A couple years ago they had one of the better ones int he league and led the league in turnovers. I think it was a mistake to let go of their Defensive Coordinator(name escapes me ATM). So we will have to see if last year was a slump or if it was part of an overall defensive decline.

I actually like this Giants team. The only thing that *I think* will hold them out of playoffs is adjustment to the new scheme.

pats here! i say bring back steve grogan!

EDIT: gotta give love to the eagles as well since McNabb went to my alma mater

How about you go and fvck yourself!😀 I am a huge State fan. Oh and remember the bowl game this past season? Yeah..I believe State beat Kansas 56-26.

Saul, you're not going to quit before midseason in Fantasy Football like you've done in the anandtech baseball league are you? 🙁

Other than the one at the end of the season. 🙂

lol

every freakin' year:beer:

i still love em. at least most of their games are exciting, win or lose.

It takes some sort of talent to be able to lateral the ball 100 times on a single play though. Too bad the kicker F*cked that one up! What kills me is Duece McCallister. He is an amazing RB. If he were to go to a west coast offense, he would be the key.

Im a Rams fan, have been since they come to Stl. Ive lived the goods and the bads. I think that signing a washed up Chris Chandler was a mistake. They got a RB out of the draft I believe. And ADam Archuleta is the key to that defence in my eyes. He so versital (sp?), he can play safety, linebacker, and cornerback. "Adam Archuleta is the next John Lynch." - Coach Gruden

And Donavan McNabb is the best QB in the league. Hands down.

Cowboys:

QB: Still have that jackoff douchebag Carter at the helm. Somebody run this guy over with a car. Please. Also signed Vinny Testicles over the offseason as well as trading for Drew Henson, who like Chad Hutchinson, is supposed to be our future. I'd like to see Vinny take the start at the season, Drew be backup, and Quincy the 3rd stringer.

RB: Let go Hambrick who sucked ass. Drafted Julius Jones from Notre Dame and still have Murrell and the other guy. (Who were both fairly quick) Not feeling too good about the RB spot, especially since Deuce was available and we didn't pick him up.

OL: Don't care much except that Allen and Parcells seems to have made up.

WR: Keyshawn in the hizzouse! Combined with Bryant (if he's still playing) and the other guy (god damn I'm having a brain fart) we should have a decent receiving core if our guys don't keep dropping the ball.

DL: Don't care too much

LB: Dat Nguyen will have his shining year - think he'll make Pro Bowl this year - he's gotten better and better with every year.

CB: Kinda concerned - last year QB's attacked our CB's long and either came up with TD's, long catches, or pass interferences. Same 2 CB's, hopefully they've gotten better

SS: We got Woodson and Roy Williams, without a doubt the best pair of safeties in the league.

ST: Got rid of that asshat Gowin, who couldn't punt a ball more than 40 yards.

I'm expecting 11-5 this year.

 I've got tickets for sure to the Chicago and Minnesota games at Lambeau. 😀

QB is still strong. He's got a couple of good years left in him, and he still feels he has something to prove.

WR - Driver and Ferguson should be a great duo this year. Hopefully Driver can avoid jumping 7 feet up and landing on his shoulder this year.

O Line - looks to be solid. As long as the young guys keep learning from the vets, Favre should have a better pocket this year.

RB - Green is incredible. Lets get this guy a ring. Henderson is an awesome blocking back and a sure thing on 3rd or 4th and 2.

Defense - 4th and 26. Was is the coaching or the players? Who knows, they still make me nervouse.

Will either just miss making the playoffs or go into the playoffs as the favorites, and lose to a crap team.

WR- Randy Moss - key is for him to limit the arrests to two or three.

Defense - I hope their is a least a pulse in the secondary.

Coaching - Mike Tice - mix up some play calling this year. No more three runs up the middle in a row and then the next series do three straight passes to Moss when he is triple covered.

It is a hard life being a Viking fan 🙁

I feel your pain.🙁

Defense was the only weak point on the team last year...and I mean VERY WEAK. If they get their act together, there will be no stopping the Packers.

Yeah, Phillip Rivers tore KU a new one. I'm wondering how they will adjust without him. He was one hell of a QB.

I think most of that fault was with Ed Donatel (sp?), but I know there were some weak point, to, created by injuries.

CB: You have a future all-pro in Terrence Newman. This guy was godly at KSU, and was an all-american in Track&Field. Jim Thorpe award winner, and even played alot of WR in college.

At least we still have great running bac(s) and our defense is MUCH improved. Only lost Cotchery, so we still have some decent recievers. We still don't know if they are going to put Jay Davis in or Marcus Stone at QB. I figure we will end up a bit over .500.

Like I said, hopefully he's gotten better. Pete Hunter and Mario Edwards and Newman just got thrown on all day long last year, with Newman showing some rookie mistakes. They can seriously solidify an already solid defense with a great year this year.
