I love rice too, but long ago made the switch to brown rice and haven't minded.

If I'm feeling super healthy I'll have quinoa instead of rice, but it's just not as tasty as normal rice.

After reading this I went downstairs to get a bagel and they were out. Now I'm angry.

I fucking love bread. I'm known to walk into the local grocery store, grab a huge loaf of the stuff, and eat it right outside the grocery store like a boss. And I do mean the ENTIRE loaf. I get weird looks.

Wow, I don't have any addiction to it whatsoever.
I buy bread maybe once a month, and usually throw away half the loaf.. I eat pasta maybe once every 2 weeks, I'm not a sweet tooth, etc.
I guess I'm lucky.

Stopped 90% of my carb intake a few months ago. After the first couple days, not eating bread and rice and such became normal. Easily dropped about 20% of my body weight and havent looked this good since high school :)

I love bread. Hate it when a restaurant has good bread and I stuff myself before any of the food arrives.

Pasta is my favorite food but this is because it requires little effort to eat and is easy to make. I eat whole wheat noodles. I am not big on bread, rice, alcohol and I don't like sweet things. I am not fat either.

Anyway, I don't think I am addicted to wheat, it is just easy to make in huge quantities and requires little effort to eat, you can practically swallow it. I eat it many times a week and have for the last 15 years.

No carbs... is that even possible?

I mean 99% of the foods we eat are carbs.

So unless he is having pure protein through meat, that is an impossibility.

I eat paleo... people always say "oh that's a no carb diet". That's just because they are ignorant and think carbs only come from grains. They aren't aware of the high amount of carbs that vegetables contain.

You have to love rice if you're Asian. It's part of your creed or something :D

EXACTLY. Those 'westerners' can go on a no or low-carb diet with ease.

It doesn't make sense for Asian food. Their whole cuisine revolves around rice and salty dishes that compliment it. If I just eat them without rice, it's plain dumb and salty as hell.

Alcohol turns into sugar?

Nope. It's converted into fat.

Alcohol is a 2-carbon chain; and the ethyl- group is a critical part of fat metabolism. So, it can be used as energy, but only via fat metabolism.

There are no metabolic processes that can convert fat, or its intermediate metabolic constituents (including alcohol), into sugar.

Read my other post....

There are some slight exceptions to turning fat into sugar.

no they arent. afaik, the goal is roughly thirds. carbs, fats, and proteins.

and some carbs aren't counted by those diets. (dietary fiber, sugar alcohol)

Why are any of you people taking this seriously? Look at the site and the OP. This just another shit-stirring thread by ATOT's leading shit-for-brains.
